Does anyone know if this pad is able to be cut and heat-sealed back together? Basically, I want a pad that is 25" wide, but don't need it to be 77" long. Hoping someone here has some experience with this pad/material and can confirm if that is an option.

mbeeezyYes. See this thread: https://backpackinglight.com/forums/topic/75194/ User andyjarman wrote, "not to be out-crazied I tried it with my Neo Air Xtherm – guess what, it works!
Go forth gram weenies and chop away. My XL Xtherm, with all the luxury of its additional 100mm (4”) of width is now 1.2m (4ft) long and weighs 320grams (11 ounces?) I also have 220 grams of patching material left over."
Edit: detailed instructions from user mikeg here: https://backpackinglight.com/forums/topic/86369/ And two more testimonials: http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=952724

CardamomteaAwesome, thank you so much for those links! I've done it with cheap rain jackets and such, but wanted to be sure before I spent a lot of money on something and messed it up. :P

mbeeezyYeah, I am planning on getting the tapered 25" as well and cutting it. I've never done it before, so I'm a bit nervous :-O

CardamomteaI'd be nervous too. Probably less so if this thing didn't cost 1 1/2 bills.
