Received my keyboard today.
It's my first mechanical keyboard, so it's going to take some getting used to.
Overall, I really like it. I don't mind the noise too much even though it is loud.
The lights are REALLY bright. Even set to their lowest setting, it's super bright. But the alternate characters such as the special symbols on the number keys or the "/, [, ]" etc. are really dim. Basically any of the lower symbols on any keycap don't seem like they're lit at all. (See attached photo.)

I also miss the built-in wrist rest from my previous Logitech keyboard, but that's easily remedied. I just need to buy a wrist rest. Overall, I love the feel and the tactile feedback. I guess that's what it's all about with mechanical keyboards. Even after a couple hours, it already feels really weird to go back to a regular keyboard. (and not in a good way).
So far, very happy with the purchase.
Any ideas how to cut down on the brightness of the LEDs?

Darin_Fong_AudioFn+F11, that will lower it. And take note that if you put your computer to sleep or turn it off or restart it, the brightness level will not be remembered. Instead the keyboard will put it at the max brightness to start out with so you will have to lower the brightness if you don't like it.

fariskillsuYes, I already set it to the lowest level, but it still seems really bright. I guess I was used to my Logitech keyboard backlight which is very subtle, but just enough to help you see the key caps.
I think I am getting used to the brightness on the Poseidon now. It doesn't bother me nearly as much as it did when I first started using it.
Also as I get used to using a mechanical keyboard, I am really loving it. I don't think I could ever go back. My laptop keyboard feels terrible now when I have to use it when I am out of the office...

Darin_Fong_AudioThat's good :) Same with me I wasn't used to using this because before I used a TT eSPORTS Knucker which had these plunger switches which were supposed to "emulate" the feel of mechanical switches, but they weren't close at all. When I started typing on Poseidon, it felt way different and it had this amazing feeling when I was typing. Felt much more precise and tactile and I'd never want to go back to a normal keyboard.
