I purchased these during an earlier drop and love them. It was an impulse buy which I justified (like I always do with headphones) by the fantastic price on massdrop (they normally sell for $200 not the $300 msrp listed). I was very pleasantly surprised at first listen. The more i listened the more I liked them. They are beautifully warm with a surprising amount of detail. Decent soundstage and very good imaging. Bass is tight but full at the same time. Not an analytical can by any means (which I do enjoy) but the combination of excellent detail and warmth make these a fun headphone.
They are also very comfortable (I have large ears and usually find supra-aural cans uncomfortable...but not these). They've become my go-to headphones for every day use.
I strongly recommend these at this price. They have a unique sound signature and nothing I've listened to comes near them at this price (they are even competitive at $200). Best purchase (value/quality) I've made at massdrop.

DanbsteinHow do they compare to say AKG k712 / ATH m50x? Or, maybe other headphones you've got? Coz', I really wanna impulse-purchase them as well ;).

AlonPWarmer and less bright than the K712. The M50 series has greater extreme deep bass, but also a little more brightness or peakiness than the On1. The On1 is ideal for portable use, but for indoor hi-fi, you might want to add a touch of EQ (easy to do).

dalethornOh, I got a lot of different EQ options on my android, like viper4mobile and other crap. But I usually use the creative e5 dac/amp anyway, so I can use bluetooth(yes yes, I know, lowers quality) - and the e5 has even more eq options. I love the m50x, honestly? they are better than k712 for the youtube dubstep I like. the k712... are more "sensitive" and I hear more "noise" with them, like the song sounds less quality with the k712. the issue is that I can't freakign listen to the m50x more than an hour, it just... "fatigue" they call it. I dont' even know how to explain it. I honestly thought it's just some made up BS by audiophiles before I freakign felt it.
But ye, damn, I think I'm getting these! omg, so excited ;).

AlonPFor 120 bucks you can't miss. Any of those EQ's should be perfect, because the On1 is well-balanced to begin with. I know the M50 well, and the On1 is a breath of fresh air, lightweight, comfy, and the wood earcups help with a more natural tonality.
