Impressive looking little headphones, great build quality. Passive isolation is great. Not comfortable, high clamp force and not glasses friendly. Very flat sound may be even boring sounding headphone. The bass has o.k quantity but low quality, big problem for the bass is that it's not detailed and sound far out. The low midrange is not detailed. The high midrange is clear. The high's are not fatiguing. My conclusion: For professional studio use they are not detailed enough and for portable use they are not fun enough. Editing: After more listening hours I can say that this headphones are strange:  The sub bass is more noticeable than the mid bass is songs that have sub bass and the mid bass is bleeding into the low mids making the low mids to be not vary clear.

The sound is fantastic. I did not notice they were "on ear" headphones or I likely would not have purchased but I am glad I did. They are so comfortable, after five seconds I forget they are not over my ears and the sound is stellar. I can wear them comfortabley for hours. Minor gripeIf the bass hit a little harder they would be perfection. Overall I am very pleased.

Perfect headphones for my niece; way better & far less trendy than Beats.

i still can hear the noise from outside and it's very uncomfortable wearing it after just a while and I couldn't return the item, a total waste of money

These are on- ear, only passive noise blocking. They will not block out all sound. As for comfort, I have the older On1's, same design and have no problems with wearing them for long periods. Except, with my glasses on. after about an hour or two, I feel them pushing on them.

Gave these to a friend for a gift and he absolutely loves them. He says the sound quality is excellent and they are very comfortable and external-noise reducing.

It takes a little time to get used to the flat response if it's your first pair of monitor-ish headphones. But once everything is settled, I've found myself even more appreciative of the well produced albums in collections with those cans. No detail is loss with those on when paired with a decent DAC and flac files.

There's no other way about it, these cans are all you could ask for in terma of combining sound quality, comfort and price. I'm a Grado head myself, but I grown weary of the sound leaks and ear discomfort over time. These babies are premium quality; very comfortable, well built and thought out, they even fold nicely and are very compact. Great, punchy bass. I've been carrying the purplehearts for the last year or so, the ON2 are incomperably better. I would warmly recommend them to anyone.

Loved what these Nimble I would say headphones bring to what your hearing but mine developed a gravely distortion in the right ear cup, I changed cables, amps.. and same problem.
They were also a challenge to set on my head right, the cups wanted to swivel outwards and i couldnt just find a fit.. but I'd say if they fit you ok these are definitely worth listening to.

My go-to commuter cans! They sound great, but a lot of the time I will wear them without playing music just to tamp down the noise on the train. They are very comfortable and sturd. For at home reference, I would prefer over-ear, open-back headphones, but these are hard to beat for tunes on the go

I picked up these headphones in the last round of this drop and have used them extensively over the past couple of weeks. The short version of this review is that at this price, they are probably the best on-ear headphone deal on the market right now.
Most importantly, the sound quality on these is excellent. Great clarity, solid performance across the spectrum, with just a touch of warmth to give them a slightly relaxed sound. If I was blind testing these, I would have guessed that they were Sennheisers based on the sound profile.
I was surprised how good the isolation was, comparable to good closed back over ears. They would work well in an office environment, if you want some isolation from your surroundings. They look great, and the design is good, but I would put the plastic folding joints on the watch list.
They have a good degree of flex to the fit, so I think they would work well for most people. Just enough padding for comfort, without adding bulk. Clamping force is light, so they’re comfortable, but they do tend to slip off when leaning forward.
On ear headphones are not my favorite style, but I do have several for comparison these are larger than the Porta Pros, which are the bargain champs. At under $100, the On2 has the same type of high sound quality to price ratio as the Porta pros, just from a higher starting point. And they actually out-Sennheiser my HD1 on-ear wireless, with a more balanced sound (those Senns are a guilty pleasure – tons of bass). Including some photos for those interested in relative comparisons

Just used my ON2 on some long airline flights & hardly noticed outside noise. Awesome!

I love mine. Purchased them because I travel a lot. Use a portable Dac/Amp with my phone. Best pair of traveling headphone I've never owned. Sound is great for this price point. I would recommend them for sure.

I'm very impressed. Complaint: I think it might be a little too clampy for my head. But they're very comfortable otherwise.

Simply put, these have become my daily drivers. I use them with an Oppo HA-2 and it does make them shine.

Excellent value for money! I changed the cable to a Trends Audio silver cable and the difference is night and day.

I don't usually give a top rating for anything, but I leave in reserve that last ranking for even further improvement and innovation. But this is a product that offers exceptional value-for-money across the board. I'm aligned with most of what most people have already written about these headphones. I feel most have summed it up well. At its original full retail I feel the On2 would be a good buy. At the Massdrop price it's an outstanding buy. People have talked about the virtues - excellent sound (not perfect, the bass does kinda "thump" among other things, but eminently quality and enjoyable), the great design, good build quality, attractive materials. Someone mentioned the quality of the packaging, too. Yes. This is a product that has integrated a vision into very fine bit of synergy. A rare and extraordinary thing when it happens well, like in this product.

These things are so versatile and for $90 are unbeatable. They have decent sound stage for supra aural phones and the imaging is ridiculously good. They do take a tad bit to adjust on your head and ears, but once you find the sweet spot it's no issue. Do not need an amp, but still hear benefits from one on low gain. These are worth $200 without a doubt. Just buy them. Oh the cables are great quality but they do transfer some noise.

Pros: They look great, they are very well built, you can change wires easily ( but you dont have to because cabels are ok), sound is okay, bass is present but not overpowering so that is feature that i like about these, soundcard improves them for like 15%, very portable, noise isolation is 4/10, they are very confy, especially for on-ears, although pressure on top of the head is present, but when you find right position on ears they are enjoyable Cons: Soundstage is narrow ( as expected ), they dont sound as good as other headphones for 200 if you plan using them for home and gaming only. But price on these was 89 wich was okay, only sad thing is if you are buying from Europe, taxis will be high because they write full price on shipment Conclusion: Im happy with these for using outside and in transport :)

Lightweight and comfortable with decent isolation. Quite portable when folded, nice cables (although there's no 1/4" TRS adapter and hard case, only a soft pouch). Presentation is intimate (I'm used to open backs), but soundstage is more or less natural (eye-shaped), with good height and less depth. Bass is humped and tastefully boosted with good impact, but doesn't overshadow the rest. Slightly rounded in nature, it won't be the most detailed, but it's adequately tight and textured. It kinda goes thump and has a weighty impact. The mids, which are easy to pick out, are in line with the bass and treble, and are not defined to the extent that it sounds as though the singer were there (slightly hazed over in lower mids, sometimes not enough body behind it/nasal, esp in upper male vocals), but manages well enough to sound like a good recording. Lowest mids have a hint of dark warmth carried over from the bass, and female vocals sound a bit breathy (sibilance possible depending on recording). Treble has grain, which is most obvious in the low treble. Upper treble is quite enjoyable with a little sparkle, though extension could be better; this makes it seem a little closed-in. Overall it sounds more natural than the Jays u-JAYS, I daresay it's a similar gentle W shaped frequency response.
PS: The mic on the provided cable has good sound quality :)

Thank you! Just burned out the coils on my AKG 220 by leaving them plugged into a mixer during a show. Those headphones where better in the studio with the open back but not able to isolate a track like my old Sony MDR V700‘s that where the best ever for live sound and drum tracking. Choosing headphones for mixing is tough. I need high power, no distortion at +20dbu, low Z, swivel, crushable with a long cord and flat. Your detailed description througout the frequency range helps me decide if there are worth getting without hearing them first. The fostex are another option but I worry they will be too harsh and painful while soloing a track.

Hehe it's my pleasure! Hope they will service you well ^^
Btw when you mention Fostex, were you referring to the THX00?

Great sound and look. My only gripe is they are a bit loose fitting and so tend to slip off if I lean my head down to get something out of my bag or whatever. Still would recommend them.

These are the best set of headphones I have ever owned and they are my favorite ! Comfy fit, beautiful craftmanship, full, rich and clear sound. Not to mention how unique they look and The attention to detail, from the quality finish to the packaging. The name is perfect, because it’s evident that these Thinksound ON2’s have been very well “thought out”. 10 out of 10!

Already very hard to beat at the original price. At Massdrop's discounted price you'd have to pay several more times to get better sounding on-ear headphones

This is the 2nd pair of Thinksound headphones I've had. Build and sound quality is top notch and for the price I'm not sure they can be beat!
