I would totally buy these but I just picked up the TS02 and I have been using them for the last 3 years or so. Great pair of earbuds and very natural sounding. I may not be an audiophile but I highly recommend them as an everyday earbuds for those who understand why Apple buds or Beats headphones are trash :).

frankdatank81I'd rate them about 1 point above the crap apple sends with their phones and offers as "upgrades" but for the same amount of money you can get some earphones that are actually reasonably good.
I can't actually speak to the ts03, but the ts02 were bad enough with their "warm balanced" sound signature that I never dared to even open the ts01 that I got at the same time with their "enhanced bass." The ts02 are so bloated and wooly and dark that I couldn't stand them and I'm a genuine bass-head. They are not even remotely close to balanced. If that's what I can expect from Thinksound's claims on sound signature, they're not worth another of my hard earned dollars.

CamperIVI can't really explain the comments above about the ts02 sound as we have had very few complaints about them in the past and won many rewards with the sound signature. I can tell you that the sound on the ts03+mic is more detailed than the ts02. The ts01 was never even in the same category as it was the first earbud that we launched with in 2009.

thinksoundDid you fix the bass stomping on everything else? More detail would certainly be welcome, but if it doesn't make its way down to clarify the low end, it's all for naught. I don't mind having a bit of elevated bass presence, but if it's not separated from everything else, I don't call that a win.
Perhaps I just got a bad set of ts02s because I can't find anything worthy of awards in them. These are just my subjective assessments though.

HeeftyWe never had a complaint about 'bass stomping' but the bass is less muddy and more tight than before and has a clearer sound than previously. I do understand this is subjective but remember that you are one of a very small percentage that didn't like the sound of the ts02 compared to the amount that loved it.

HeeftyI don't stop anyone from voicing their opinion. Not quite sure what the negativity is for or what you are implying. We do our best to reach out to all customers, future, past and present but I don't recall receiving one for this complaint. I personally review every return that comes into our company and I respond to each customer that has had an issue. We have a total of 3 people on staff including myself so almost nothing gets past me in forms or concerns from a customer as all emails go into my inbox. If you or anyone has an actual issue you can email us at hello@thinksound.com. I do not want to get into a trolling war as I try to address all responses and if support is needed we will help or if you were unsatisfied you are certainly allowed to return the product. We have different headphones with different sound signatures and we would have been willing to probably do a swap if you contacted us.
Thanks

thinksoundI don't think he was being overly negative just voicing his opinion and you should take every customers opinion to heart and thank them for there support and personal feedback they spend there money on your products when there are lots of other options out there and I'm positive that for the same price or less you can have just as good or a better (per taste) iem. I personally wouldn't buy from you guys because of the fact you could have a well known iem for same money like Yamaha or audio technica or Sony...list goes on and on so be appreciative of the customers you have

Petronas44Thanks for the response. We do take every response from a customer seriously but it's tough to do when someone says they own a product and complains but never contacts us directly. I think that some tone is lost through typing a response on a message board and unfortunately some responses are taken the wrong way or out of context. We always offer returns, exchanges etc for someone that isn't happy but when it's just a response on a 3rd party site we can't track it properly as we don't own this site or monitor it 24/7. We have no way of knowing what an issue is unless a customer contacts us directly so we can review the product they purchased.

thinksound"Trolling war" very rude and c'mon seriously, "when someone says they own a product" implying that he is lying, no respect man, I really am not mad and don't care to do this back and forth with you. He gave you the benefit of the doubt saying he could have gotten a bad set and that it was his own subjective opinion and you call it trolling like I said I'm not upset in any form but I really hope these comments get left up for people to see what dealing with you could potentially be like. Have a nice day.

thinksoundMy opinion was not stated for you or the benefit of Thinksound, it was stated for the benefit of those considering purchasing the product this discussion board is for.
No negativity intended. I was just trying to get the point across that just because you haven't heard an opinion doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have not contacted you through your means of direct customer contact to voice my dissatisfaction with your product, and I don't intend to. Primarily, I don't immediately go to the company that makes whatever product I don't like and express my outrage; I just take my experience and move on and I'm fairly sure that's what most people do. Secondarily, the time that I would spend dealing with customer service is of more value to me than the money that I spent on this particular set of earphones.
To me, ts02 is just another set of earphones that I don't like, and the only reason I really feel wronged by that is because the product packaging indicated balance where I couldn't find any. That being magnified by my being drawn in by accolades galore touted in the product description. That's far too minor an affront for me to bother calling customer service over. I will, however, leave reviews about my experiences for others to weigh into their decisions.

HeeftyI just went on this thinksound guys profile and to his posts and you can read all his messages and responses and I got just partially down the page and saw 3 different times he dismissed criticism with the response "we never had this complaint before."

Petronas44Honestly, it is fine. I take all criticism and try to develop a great product. It is our job to respond to every customer that we have and respond in a responsible manner. I am not trolling, I do need to come to the defense on our products when someone makes a claim but does not contact us directly in order to work it out and try to come to a resolution. I have no way of knowing if the product is indeed defective, not defective, this is a personal preference or if indeed this person is trolling. We still have yet to receive an email from anyone on this thread to review their headphones to see if they are defective and I would personally review them. This is an open forum and we as the manufacturer are supposed to be very active in these threads. We have offered returns, exchanges etc to make our customers happy even when headphones are not defective and we do so very quickly. We do still have to have to come to the defense when a customer does not contact us through support and bashes us multiple times on this thread while stating that our products our bad. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if someone does not like our headphones simply because of the sound quality we gladly would refund their money. We are not trying to come off as unreasonable as we still have not had a return request or email sent to us about the sound or in reference to this thread. We would gladly offer any type of customer support to anyone that contacts us.

thinksoundI believe this is Aaron right? May I suggest possibly doing a thread on Head-Fi, similar to how both owners of Schiit Audio do. Mike Moffat (Baldr is his Head-Fi name) isn't quite as active as Jason Stoddard, and his thread is extremely active. I highly recommend reading his book that is in the first post. Schiit does a great job of reaching out to the community, and I would guess the vast majority of their sales are from their presence on Head-Fi. Hearing stories of how you created products, maybe what you are working on or thinking, will attract people to your fairly new company. Just a thought.
I loved my TS-02 with mic, and compared to the B&O H3 that I own, I prefer the Thinksound by a good margin. Sound Quality is better, and the form factor is much more comfortable. With your 10% off sale, I jumped at the chance to get the TS-03 with mic, and I can happily say that it is a great overall improvement to the TS-02. Much better bass quality, clearer sound throughout the entire sound range of human hearing, and small fixes like the mic shape/design on the cable is a huge upgrade. I have been very impressed with Thinksound (I own the TS-02 and TS-03 both with mics). Your "house" sound is right up my alley. Definitely one of my favorites in my collection, and they take EQ, VERY well!
For reference, I have a rather large collection of headphone gear: AMPS: LTA MicroZOTL2 with upgraded NOS tubes and LPS, Creative Soundblaster X7 with Sparkos OP amps (OP Amps made an ENORMOUS difference, $200), Schiit Magni, and a Marantz SR8500 AVR which has a very good headphone out and does Dolby Headphone. DACs: Schiit Modi Multibit, X7 (Burr Brown DAC chip), SR8500 (another Burr Brown DAC chip) Headphones/IEMS: Hifiman HE-X V2, Fostex/Massdrop TH-X00 Ebony (modded with 2.5mm removable cable), Monoprice Monolith M1060 (modded with Audeze Vegan Pads and Paper towel mod), AKG K702 65th Anniversary, Beyerdynamic DT990 SE 250ohm, Sennheiser/Massdrop HD6XX, Sennheiser/Massdrop PC37X, Audio Technica ATH-M50X, B&O H3, Thinksound TS-02 and TS-03 (both with mics), Bragi Headphone, and a few others I am forgetting at the moment.
I would put the TS-03 in the top 4 of everything I own, and that is truly saying something. I am 40 years old tomorrow, and have been a passionate audio enthusiast for 30+ years. My father gave me his older gear, which was far better than many of my friends parents setups. I have always had a very good 2 channel setup (currently running Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grands and awaiting Schiit Saga/Vidar/Eitr to go separates. For my personal taste, Thinksound makes some very good sounding gear, and it is definitely worth the price they charge. They are a good value, and I love letting others try them out.
