JahsephYep! Walked a day in the rain up the mountains in northern UK. Went through some streams too. The storm welt on these is excellent.

slb1961I agree--the Beloit is my go-to boots for rainy or snowy weather. The Portage has more stylish looks, but the lower laces might get wet more easily.
Wet laces are of no concern. Most are made of polyester and rawhide can handle it too. Portage are something you won't see guys wearing every day. That's a plus to me. And lace to toe are more comfortable IMO
