I just got mine. I sized down a half size and they are still a little large. Not a real problem with the lace-to-toe, since they can be tightened, or not, as much as you like. The Horween leather is supple yet thick and feels very high quality. They are on the heavy side, but very comfortable out of the box. I expect them to wear for a very long time and only get better when they are properly broken in.

These have quickly become one of my favorite boots. They take a little breaking in, but they are stylish, well-made, and the cork sole is a pleasure to walk on. Awesome overall!

What width do these boots come in on Massdrop? The Weinbrenner website shows multiple widths in this style.

RensekThese are only offered in D width on our site. I've also included the link to the correct page under the Weinbrenner site for you to take a look at it. Curious where you were seeing these listed with different widths. Sometimes folks get the 1892 line confused with their non-heritage more affordable styles. http://www.weinbrennerusa.com/dspNavCategory.cfm?rootID=168&catid=169

TomasVLooks like they have a sub model of the portage series, work boots, those come in different widths. Click the link you posted and they also list a plain or safety toe boot as a part of the same series. Didn't realize that when I asked. Thanks for the quick response.

Bought the natural non-speed lace version of these the last go around, excellent boots once they break in. Dunno why the description says these run true to size when the last drop said that the No.60 runs big. Buy a half size smaller like the mfg recommends. If you find yourself needing to fill volume to properly lace them buy a set of "SOLE Casual Thick" insoles.

I don't have this particular boot, but I got a pair of the Mondovi boots in the last drop, so far I'm pretty pleased with them. They're pretty comfortable out of the box, look sharp, no problems so far. Half size down from my normal size seems right. Haven't had a chance to break them in fully because of the constant presence of salt-laden slush here lately (chicago), but FWIW they seem decent.

dogface_jimI wear mine (though the Benoit model) in salty slush all the time. The nitrile cork sole holds up to anything, and since it's flat it doesn't track much indoors.

Yeah - My horsehide Beloits are my go-to boot, for sure. I've been keeping my eye out for another similar pair.
