Another way of solving this problem is to buy cheap, sturdy looking stuff at Walmart, check the wheels before every trip, and replace it when it looks to be falling apart. That's what I do. I started buying cheaper shirts with fixed sleeve lengths when I realized I always keep my sleeves rolled up, so who's gonna know my arms are too short for the shirt? I allow myself to spend money on quality stuff in a few narrow hobby areas (even though I know I don't need the quality), but otherwise I try to enforce a cheap-and-disposible policy.

A warranty would possibly bring people back. No strong warranty would keep people like me away. Samsonite has a 10 year warranty. Surely if you market it as made in Germany you can offer a great warranty.

I don't want to spoil anyone buying decision, but for the same price $200 , I just bought this Xiaomi 100% Aluminum-magnesium alloy carried on luggage. It is designed in Germany, and seem well made.
