This is an example of a titanium light that those who must buy such things due to nickel allergies wouldn't consider. First, it's too expensive. Second, the point is to be able carry a light in your hand without getting a rash, not to dangle it in front of strangers like a bejeweled fob at the opera. Third, it sounds as though there might be manufacturing issues.
That said, it's a pretty light.

VarholiaglimpIt is too expensive for sure...And you are right, there are issues...the light built too short so it can only take unprotected flat top battery...and the UI is really weird...you need to unscrew the bottom cap to a point that it barely touch the battery than use the bottom fixed button (NOT CLICKING it is a fixed button....)to make the connection, than you need to twist the ring to change mode...and it is only momentarily on...you need to use the bottom cap as a twisty light if you want it on all the time..then change the level with the ring...and unscrew the cap again when you need to turn it off.. talking the bottom cap...the negative in it is really wide an any battery with smaller negative ring will not work.....

If looks aren't a priority (because flashlights are used in the dark, duh), Fenix has flashlights which are brighter, come with a battery and cost half of this one's price.

Yes, it has a quirky UI and, yes, it has issues with various batteries, but this light is a thing of beauty while packing a reliable punch. Long gone now are the days when dressing up for a night out in my tuxedo meant taking a Thrunite AA titanium "looker-light;" essentially sacrificing my 18650 everyday reliability and preparedness for whatever may come my way while in said tuxedo. This seems to be an under-appreciated babe of a light.

The lumintop; see my comment in the lumintop drop. Mine stopped working a couple of months after purchase. Terrible light; I haven’t had a light ever fail before.

nantipaneithI have two of them one steel one brass and the massdrop tool AAA from lumintop as well...Haven't have any issue yet. However, I did got the newer version with 1050 lumin. My experience of lumintop is quite nice. May be you just happen to got a lemon or maybe I am just luck to get good ones...Olight and lumin top are my to go flash light brand.

Hi guys - sorry to hear you had troubles - we had a few emails and responded when they came in - please do let me know if you are still having issues. For everyone's info the problems we came against were that our flashlight takes the battery without the protection board (there are two types). FYI the battery we use is Samsung ICR18650-32A.
