The result of a popular Kickstarter, KeySmart offers a clever alternative to the traditional keyring. By providing the structure and order of a Swiss-made pocket knife, KeySmart effectively eliminates bulk, thigh poke, key jingle, and other snares of keychains past Read More
For me this came out cheaper through the KeySmart website with the free shipping, also after going through a couple of checkout stages and then backing down the website gave me an additional 20$ discount which made the deal even better.
What encouraged me to buy this Keysmart at this price point is it's made in USA and is Titanium. Unfortunately, as per the card it came with, it is "Made responsibly in China"!!, and out of the plastic it is already scratched! I would have been better off buying the much cheaper keysmart 2.0 on their site.
J.AtikThis is terrible. I have found recently imperfections in other drops I have bought off MassDrop, I am certain they are flogging factory seconds to us at regular prices.
Will the standard version accept the expansion kit from their website? I have an early model that has the wrong threading but don't want the long version (short is no longer available elsewhere)
I'm finally happy with this purchase, but only after some time at the hardware store -- was too loose without rubber washers (with enough give to allow them to be fastened down), and kept coming apart at the wrong place without loctite on the extension threads.
CharlesDuffyOoh, that's a great idea! Going to do it tomorrow! Oh, and instead of loctite, I like vibra-tite. It lasts for more than one opening/closing and holds better than loctite. Easier to clean also.
Hey, first of all, I like it and Im not complaining.. but..
I have no idea what 'The frame is cut from a stock of Titanium' exactly means. I have multiple other things made of different grades titanium, this is.. not?
Scratch proof...
SigtranTitanium is anything but scratch-proof, it is highly susceptible to scratcching. I have this on titanium torches, a titanium watch bracelet as well. Stainless steel is much more resistant but significantly heavier. It seems kind of misleading for them to claim it is scratch proof ...
Unless you really , really , really care about the titanium you can get the regular keychain key holder with everything a lot cheaper on their website. They also had some coupons to use as well.
