The specs of this item are for the XL titanium peanut lighter not the large. That would explain the high price. So which is it massdrop? The large or the XL? Also you have pictures of the large and the small version. There's a lot of conflicting information in this drop.

wesinatorAbsolutely correct. The pictures show the peanut and split pea sizes. The XL isn't pictured at all, but the stats say 2.75" which *IS* the XL size. The split pea is 1.25" and the peanut is 1.75". I own both of those and just measured mine. The price and listed stats correspond to the XL, so it's pretty safe to say that's what this is for - they just used the wrong pictures. Twice.

Massdrop, did you really start the drop price at $3.50 higher than MSRP?

4% is a really poor discount for something with a several week wait, also why no XL version?

SummersThis is the XL version. Both the price and stats (2.75" tall) support this. They just used the wrong pictures. But I couldn't agree more. 4% is essentially nothing. What a disappointment.

Would love to see the stainless steel option. No point in making something like this out of titanium just to inflate the price.

This isn't really a deal. CountyComm, the actual manufacturer, is selling these for $34.50 directly from their web site.

I bought the copper version of this lighter and left a similar note in that discussion...
In short, the fail for this lighter is not its small size or difficulty lighting; as others have noted, it is not meant to be an everyday lighter. The fail - for me - is the small size of the hole at top of the lighter. The silver attached loop is flimsy (in my estimation) and absent that piece the hole is too small to put a key chain through or any other way to affix this to anything (without something similar to the mini mini mini ring). Were the diameter of the hole just a bit larger, this would not be a problem. Perhaps the concern was: were it affixed directly to something it might unscrew itself? Don't know. What I do know is the ring supplied is not substantive, and my lighter has come undone from this on a number of occasions. And, when I wrestled to put it back on my lighter, the ring ultimately snapped from my fingers and was lost.
