Okay. I can't resist jumping in here. While I'm tempted to do a little needling, I'll get right to the point.
First of all, let me clear. I have absolutely no intention of purchasing one. Not because they can be had for less, but because I wouldn't stick a blunted titantium needle in my mouth or anywhere near it. I'm also not going to speak to the safety issues others have mentioned. Others have already chewed over these topics durng the past drop and they may have grown long in the tooth as a result.
While I do not join them, I respect that there are others who might want this. My curiosity about the popularity of a previous drop of this item helped me understand that there are many other uses for such a tool. For example, spearing a club-sandwich for the individual who has everything.
It could be used as a hair-pin and/or to pick locks. Also for knitting really, really small sweaters or for nit picking (literally).
I've since learned that they can be used for other things, as well: cleaning out any hard to reach crevices not on the human anatomy, pressing awkwardly placed reset buttons, sewing, self-defense (or so I read somewhere online). If I dig more deeply I'm sure I could tease out other uses , but you get the idea. Personally, I'd rather use a wooden toothpick for my teeth and a paperclip (or regular needle) for the other things.
Yes, these can be had for substantially less from Amazon. That's not the target demo for these. These particularly short pointy things, made by this artisan, generally sell for substantially more than the price of this drop.
Enough people requested this item be dropped again and a fair number have already committed to join.
I'm certainly not one to throw stones or poke holes.
Cheers.
While I take responsibility for the poor jokes in this post, it is not intended as punishment for anyone. Rather, I presume that the readers of these discussions are mature. Groan ups only. (And please don't throw tomatos - they hurt my beak.)
Periodically edited for typos, grammar, clarity and to add additional jokes in equally poor taste. Such additions will not be marked as such (I have a rep to protect.) In all sincerity, this post is intended to offend only those with a decent sense of humor and no one else.

GonzoTGreatIt's too bad you have to be a fount of things and can't be a fount in puns. English and it's rules.

GonzoTGreatI was slightly disappointed that the Punisher wasn't a guy who ran around New York fighting crime by making their eyes roll into their heads with puns. Also, dang; 4 years. Where does the time even go.

AlexPkWhat makes you think there isn’t some guy doing just that. If we’re including Brooklyn in what is considered NYC, I can almost guarantee the position has been taken. Probably by more than one person. Probably yoked together. In fact, I would imagine they yoke together all the time. 4 years?! I suppose this just reinforces the titanium point that Massdrop intends to be around for the long hall. And not to beat a dead horse (my brain is a bit scrambled at the moment), but drawing you back into this conversation demonstrates eggsactly how well your system works. Now let’s see if you can work cholesterol into a pun. Or jump from any of the of the potential subjects I’ve raised. Or just be cruel to me and anyone in a civilized product discussion and tag me in a random conversation to see if I can punt within the theme. (While writing is my forte, I can make small talk about almost anything.) So … um … catch. G.

GonzoTGreatFor a second I felt bad for whoever else was getting pinged as this chain of comments waxes poetic, but it's good to see this is just an intimate moment for us to chew the fat. In that vein of thought, perhaps one day they will mount a plaque in your honor for really sticking the landing on these puns. Cheers :D
