I would imagine that the type/size of tinder that you could reasonably put into this solo version would be smaller than the regular version, which might affect the burn for better or for worse. For my regular sized Toaks woodgas stove I like to get a good mix of wood sizes (up to 1" diameter and down to 1/8") with the larger sizes on the bottom and let the fire burn it down the whole way to ash. This can go for about 20 minutes on a full (not overfull) burn chamber and is largely due to the larger pieces catching later and lasting longer. With a smaller stove, you would probably only use wood up to 5/8" (all speculation) and the flame duration would be shorter. That would work out great for solo trips where you don't have to boil water for several people and, honestly, you could probably fuel this stove for a quick 1-2 cup boil with just a handful or two of forest duff! Obviously, you can always add fuel to any wood stove like this while its burning. I'd get it if i didn't already have the larger one for solo/group trips and an alky for solo only hikes.
