Korin offers initial sharpening before the knife is shipped... Is this also available for this drop? The factory edge is not very sharp, I'd like to give this to someone who would like to use it out of the box.

mxrzHi! I work for Korin and, unfortunately, we can't offer the initial sharpening through Massdrop. It would make getting the knife to you quickly almost impossible.
If you're in the NYC area, feel free to stop by the store and I can arrange for the initial sharpening personally. Give us a call ahead of time because if our knife sharpener is available and in the store, we can take care of it within 15 minutes.
