I love this DAC. The Op Amp is socketed and the unit comes stock with a TI OPA2134PA installed. I switched it out, replacing it with a SparkOS Labs Dual Discrete Op Amp SS3602. It took this DAC to a whole new level. I couldn't be happier!

UberchurlI just got a SparkOS Labs OPA ss3602 delivered and I'm looking to replace the stock OpAmp. Can you share how you did it?

anroj2 screws on the rear, 2 screws in front. You'll need a large torx kit. The op-amp you can swap with angled pliers. Preferably with heatshrinked tips so they don't damage the chip.

PastafarianLemurI swapped the original Ti PCM chip with a Muses 8920. The Ti sounds surgical and flat (rather boring really). My Muses chip widened and smoothed things out. Think the white room in Bruce Almighty vs. a cedar cladded basement. But both are brilliantly clean. The difference for me was about 5% and worth it (YMMV).

NeoKronosThanks, I even looked up the opamp you mentioned. It's not all that expensive, too.
