I find it weird that no one reviewed this D50 Dac yet. And I'm not talking about audio science BS measurements..... No one has commented on sound quality which only can mean one thing. Its pure Chinese garbage. As soon as i get mine , I will post the 100% truth. NO BS, NO LIES....just fact

ParkflyersRCInteresting perspective. You have your right to it, but I will give you a counterpoint... I have the D50 (not ordered on MD), and it sounds great. I have paired it so far with my Elex and Sundara headphones, played through an O2 AMP.

ParkflyersRCNow add to the Elex and Sundara my heavily modded M1060, heavily modded th-x00, and DT1990 Pro. All sound great. Have some more headphones I will have to try.
Tried using both my HP laptop and my LG v30 as input to the D50.
So... Again, you are free to say what you want, but, I for one give this a big thumbs up!

timothomYup, bought based on the measurements reported there! Paired it with many cans through the O2 amp I have. Waiting on my CTH and Little Dot II and hoping all of these will "sing"!

ParkflyersRCCalm down, D50 is a steal for its sound quality. It could make me wonder why all audiophile equipments are so overpriced.....

ParkflyersRCD50 arrived ( eBay). A well made, solid. Quite heavy for the size of the unit thanks to the aluminum body. Sound-wise, it’s quite impressive considering its price. I bought it to use it with a Burson amp in my office but I tested it on my tube stereo system at home. It sounded great based on my short test. Compared to a DAC/server that costs $2000, D50 has a slightly more background level. But that was based on 20min AB text and if I listen to D50 alone, I doubt I will pick up the difference. one strange thing about it however. I used a iPhone charger rated 5v/1amp, and the unit turned off and didn’t power up until I switched to another power source rated 2.5amp. So 1amp might not be enough to have stable power supplied to it. Also I thought the LED display turns off after 30 sec or so of no input, but it doesn’t in my unit. Not a problem for me but curious why it doesn’t. Overall this is a keeper. I have to hook it up to the headphone amp later this week.

Rosswell105You can change the setting of the D50 display, set it to auto and the display will switch off after a few seconds.

jsmiller58You are playing the D50 from your V30? How does it connect? Does the D50 charge your phone while it is plugged in, or does it drain the battery (fast or slow)?

RyCanThe player software is USB Audio Player Pro (I use it to stream Tidal, but you should be able to play your own music). Just connect with USB-C to USB connector (the funny square printer format one - I got the cable at Best Buy). Works great.
