I wonder how well this might pair, sonically and aesthetically, with the Alex Cavalli Liquid Carbon X Amp?
Seems like a viable candidate for a balanced DAC to feed the LC-X, though perhaps overkill since it already includes a balanced amp. However, critiques of the DX7 amp include high output impedance (LC-X is 100 times less) and susceptibility to electrical noise. Would these be mitigated with a stacked amp?
Footprints look subtly different ( 25 cm x 20.5 cm x 5 cm vs. 210 x 230 x 57 mm), so might not be that pleasing a stack. Comments?

jaydee63It works fine driving the LCD-XC's I have directly. I also have it stacked with the iFi Pro-iCAN for the amp.... love it. This unit has quite a few more features than I thought it would via the included remote.

jaydee63I've used mine both with and without an Amp(Jds o2 & Topping A30) and I can tell you that there is no electrical noise even with my audio stack being placed directly next to my desktop and wired through a hole in my desk that has about 100 wires.
Output impedance hasn't caused any problems on my quad or triple drivers from 1More (Multi BA IEM) nor issues with my other headphones, even my ultra low impedance Panasonic RP-HD10.
