So my own little review so far:
I love it! I got mine direct from China and mine had a remote in the packaging. I confirmed and it was definitely the DX7s. Had a few discussions on Head-Fi and concluded that this remote could possibly be a DX7 remote. I'm pairing it with HiFiMAN HE-400i via balanced Sukira cable, and it sounds quite fun!
I can confirm native DSD256 compatibility, that's the highest I've got. As far as audio quality, it's fantastic to say the least. I have noticed some tracks having slight sibilance however. This could possibly be because of the impedance mismatch? I dunno how output impedance behavior changes vs driver types. All in all, great soundstage and audio quality. I paid 49,000 PKR total for the thing, so almost 460/470 USD? The volume is quite high and I can listen to Kodo - One Earth's DSD ISO at almost max volume just fine (everything else I keep around the -15 dB mark).
Yet at the same time this dac/amp has me feeling more than ever that pairing is important, and I think the HE-400i while enjoyable isn't the best possible pairing. My next purchase will probably be end of the year, and it'll possibly be a MrSpeakers Aeon Closed or if I'm feeling frisky enough, the HiFiMAN X Edition V2. Will definitely try those cans on this baby.
Most noticeable improvement vs my V20 setup: bass. It's much better, much smoother, and a bit more well bodied. Treble in general has more presence but in some cases it can get sibilant; turning down the volume works but isn't always desirable (like 2L's Remote Galaxy at -23 dB).
Final notes: burn is is much needed! I listened to some BabyMetal when it first arrived and the treble was ruining my ears (as if they didn't sound squeaky enough!). After leaving them with my cans for a three day weekend to just play all kinds of music, they settled in just fine. Now I can enjoy the energy of many songs and pick up details of tracks I never even knew about. Since this is my first balanced setup, I went out of my way and even enabled WASAPI output on MPC-HC. Haven't heard any hidef 24/96 content on any such videos yet, nor any particular improvements per se. At leas Windows notification sounds don't bother me anymore xD.

blitz9826I am using my V20 as dac with an audiotecnica amp at the moment and soind really good. I have the MDR Z7, AKG 712 pro and ATH1000Z as headphones so not hard to drive. Do you recommend spending over 500AUD for this Topping DAC/AMP combo or save the money? Do you notice all this difference with this Topping compared to before? Thanks.

HIFI778So I'm only now seeing this comment, sorry. I'll answer for anybody who might be interested. I've noticed that the amping while adequate isn't the best. I recently got a Fiio X7 Mk2 and it pairs even better with the HE-400i with balanced 2.5mm. Kodo - One Earth tour really came to life! I've also set up a speaker system, using KEF LS50 from an Onkyo TX-NR636 and a Definitive Technology Prosub 800, DAC connecting to the AVR via RCA out. I love what I hear, and arguably it's better than the headphones out of the DX7s. I would recommend the DX7s as a DAC only and urge you to stack to a better headphone amp, preferably using the balanced XLR out.
