How does the auto/off on work? Is there an actual switch you can use too? I can't see one.. integrated with the volume knob perhaps? I ask as I wouldn't always want the lights on.

BrttttThe lights don't stay on, the auto on/off works whenever it senses a digital signal it powers on (USB, optical) and then powers off once it doesn't sense a signal for a while.

Brttttpress the knob to power on, press to switch inputs, turn for volume, hold to power off. display remains lit at 3 brightness levels but dims to the lowest after 6 seconds of no remote or knob input. 2 minute time out with no input and it goes to standby. need remote for everything else.
