So, got mine, plugged in my Grados and I have to say I'm very pleased with the performance of the device. Nice, clean, limited headroom but I don't need so very much since I like being able to hear. Cheap pots are a pet peeve of mine, and I was pleased to feel a good volume control. The switches are small and kind of delicate, but sturdy enough if you're not manhandling them. A word or two on the sound: YMMV obviously, but the NX1 drives my 39 Ohm Grados and my 250 Ohm Koss 4AA's fine. Very good, transparent boost on low gain, and a good, clean boost on high gain as well. There is a very low, very quiet hiss on high gain which I suspect is switching noise from the transistors doing the PWM switching in the amp as its volume does not vary. It is not a reason to dislike this amp IMO as you will hear that from any Class T amplifier once the gain is high enough. I cannot perceive any noise on the low gain setting. The amp is reasonably well-shielded, but picks up RF noise from my phone (Google Nexus 5), very likely from the LTE transmitter if it is within about 1' of the amp. It's much reduced by increasing distance thereafter. It does appear to be adequately shielded against 60Hz noise from power cables. Overall, I'm very happy with the device and look forward to using it a long time.
