25mw in 300 ohms, is this enough for Hd6xx using the output if an iPhone ? How much more output does it provide compared to direct connection of HD6xx into the headphone jack if my iPhone 6s? At this price, looks like a great buy for occasional portable use but is it powerful enough for HD6xx? Anyone?

tessierpgMost 300 ohms headphones require only 2-3 mW for about 100 dB SPL. The iPhone 6 is capable of outputting about 3.3mW. So, this amp is much more powerful than your iPhone. Whether you need it is a totally different question since your phone is already very capable.

tessierpgHi, I've got my 650s on with the NX1A at high gain its comfotable at 1:00. The S has better specs, so it will be just fine. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. This is a go. I might get one. Like I said before, the battery life is extremely good. Sound is good on the A , so it should be better on the S. Ps. No noise. In my opinion, a little bass boost is good on the 650s, so I may get one just for that. Shoot, 40 bucks! Easy.

ElsidThanks. It seems that this little unit is a real steal at 35$, although not that different than the price on Amazon. I might order one. I already have an Objective O2 in the living room plugged on my Onkyo Network Stereo Receiver and a dragonfly Red for use with iPhone/iPad, but the little NX1a metallic grey to be used with my Macbook Pro for 35$ sounds good to my wallet too...
