I have the Massdrop Hifiman 400x a day they are the lowest level of volume of all of my headphones when I use them with my Google Pixel 1 phone. Even the $8.00 IEMs play louder, though obviously far inferior sound quality. Will this DAC/Amp solve the problem, or is this overkill?

I have used the NX4 non-DSD version and used it with the 400i and it was a great pairing. My Pixel 2 was terrible with the 400i without an Amp.

I thought something was wrong with my 400Xs at first. I had a pair of Sennheiser PMX680s that were louder. I've been looking at the Filo E10K. It depends on the difference in performance of the two.
