last week i got a package from CafePress.uk little did i know that .uk is just the domain and not a UK warehouse or the UK store for the US site.. So when my order came in i had to pay an additional $30 i was pissed basically having to pay %35 on top of the expensive delivery costs..
Apparently anything above €22 thats $25 . ... and if it's marked as a gift the limit is €45 that's $50 That limit is with the cost of shipment Really Really ridiculous so i'm hoping these Spacebars Are marked as Gift ?? or the pas true all the customs crap because i don't feel like paying 21% and a minimum of $10 customs fees YES if the value is low there is a minim cost for processing of $10 !!
Massdrop should really look in to having a EU warehouse.. i mean why the heck not ?? Currently Apple and other companies are talking with The Netherlands to avoid paying tax so why isn't Massdrop looking to help us the People ?????

TuxKey... everywhere it is the same .... just pay taxes to help the leaders of your country to pay their holydays and expensives gifts in a luxury shop(duty free , of course ...) in a far far away airport for their whores ... ^^

Strychninein a perfect world i would never mind paying taxes even 0,50 over each 1,00 i earn. But living in the EU And The Netherlands in particular i'm aware of so called postbox or mailbox constructions. and other ways the extreme wealthy tunnel their money avoiding taxes. But the average joe pays true his nose. But you are correct the only thing i can do is accept it or avoid it when possible buying from outside the eu without means people shipping to me need to help me avoid getting screwed. Because i simple can't and won't pay 31% on everything i buy outside the EU.
A more permanent solutions is a change in the economie model. Zeitgeist Addendum ;

LOKIA007i live here there is nothing i'm willing to do about it currently ;-) it's more of a Ferengi kind of country if your familiar with StarTrek ;-) all is possible for the right price ahhaha..perhaps selling your mother in law ...or asking so much import fees that it works as a discouragement to potential costumers at least China has the balls to just say "no" we say how bad do you want it? and how much can we squeeze out of u ...hahaha
