Perfect timing for me Massdrop! My Logitech Keyboard is way overdue for a replacement. But, I think the ole' girl will last another 3 months. Never had a premium keyboard so buying this without trying it out but have read all the reviews. My son has the Corsair K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE which has the Cherry Red's and I really like typing on those.

serlenbeckThese feel nothing like Reds, but they'll be great nonetheless.

DeicideHow would you compare them to a cherry switch? I have used nearly all the types, and am pondering expanding to a topre.

Adam340They have a great tactile bump, and no Cherry switch really comes close in terms of direct key feel. Of those I've used, the only similar equivalents I can think of are Zealios or Halo Trues. Not that MX-style switch tactile bumps are inferior, just different throughout the keystroke.

serlenbeckIn my opinion, they don't feel like normal tactile switches at all. In fact, Topre has a tactile bump on the extreme top of the keystroke, and then it releases like a really smooth linear switch, resulting in a great "thock". That being said, the keycaps don't wobble at all, and you can't really press a key halfway (since the downstroke is almost immediate). So just imagine a linear keyboard with a resistance on top of each key and a majestic sound, that's Topre.
