r3alityThanks for your input.. it's appreciated ;-) have you had any experience with the Leopold FC660C ? At the moment i'm typing on my Leopold FC660M with mx-clears..And i love the portable nature of it.. So at the moment i'm still on the fence between the FC660C and this one..I can get the leopold from Ebay for around €26 less than this one ..But with an ABS spacebar . so i will be getting a PBT somewhere els.. But that's not important.. it's more about FC660C vs RealForce 87U ..Any and all suggestions are appreciated guys..

TuxKeyWould you mind to provide that Ebaylink you're talking about. The cheapest one i find is widebasket for ~ EUR 225, which is getting close to Mechanical Keyboards. I do like my RF 55g a lot, but will end up sooner or later with the other given Topreboards anyway. But that's just me. My favourite MX switch had been/are Clears, and i really love and prefer the 55g Topre by now.

MakamiThe one I saw is the same price €225 but that's with shipping and eBay gets true customs better than mk boards I had sum orders where I didn't even pay extra import fees. But help me out I don't understand you like your RF55g but your shopping for the fc660c?? Are you going to sell your RF ? Or are you like me a bit addicted and even considering getting both?? I'm trying to decide. Heard a guy saying that the 55g feels snappier

TuxKeyNope, no intention to sell the Realforce, it is my daylie driver since i got it, fooling around with a Novatouch once in a while, looking for a smaller one like the Leopold and someday might get a HHKB JP and a controller by hasu: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=71517.0
A couple of Cherry boards have been sold and some other ones have been stored away, maybe someday i like to use them again, but not right now.

MakamiHi Makami, After talking to several people , i decided to go for the FC660C and vote for the PBT spacebar drop. And later on after a year or so, i'l do a silence mod, after watching tons of vids, reading howto's and so forth..and if and when i feel brave enough ahhaha.. neither way a bad choice i think. I've ordered myself a FC660C through widebasket today, couldn't wait any longer :) It's taste, but i don't think the Topre sliders need to be lubed, coming from Cherry switches they're super smooth. But i've lubed the stabilizers of my Novatouch, i didn't liked the stock sound.

So after reading your message ..!! i had to do it man hahahha..So i just placed the same order for the FC660C white one ..Because i like bright fonts on my key-cap.. Btw why don't you request the PBT spacebar drop like i died..the drop is not to expensive .. yes i do know that option. My RF is moded with dental bands: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44692.0 Cheap and fine for me at the moment, but it doesn't feel that good with the Novatouch. I already have some kind of ruber sheet and Filz, both 0,5mm thick, here to make my own rings and experiments. A friend of mine has ordered some eva foam samples from China for further experiments, problem is that i'm sick since christmas and not that much in the mood for moding right now. I believe that the silencing rings or ironed landing pads work well, but it is some kind of fun to try something by my/ourselves. MakamiAlmost forgot , i briefly tried the Novatouch i mean for a second standing in a store real real bad idea..So my 1,5 second feeling was nehh feels like a rubber dome.. i know , i know you should at least type for a couple of hours be four deciding anything.. But typing on the FC660C took like a second for me to fall in love with it.. So i'm happy to have ordered one..I'm really curious about the 87U ..But buying two Topre boards in one weekend is a bit to much ahahha..Perhaps i can sample one with my fellow Dutch Keyboard Fan "Rokusho" and he can sample my new FC660C.. I read about the dental bands aka o-rings mod..And perhaps that's a nice short term solution..But orings tend to move being round and all.. That's more something i would use underneath the keycap.. On the forum where the Topre rings where discussed a couple of Novatouch owners where very happy with the result so much so that i even started to wonder if i should revisit my views regarding the Novatouch.. So that says a lot ;-) ..but it isn't a cheap solution.. $0,65 a pop 69 * 0.65 = 44.85 + 6.5 = $51.35 USD but For a TKL board you would want at least 90.. But heck it's tested and it works like a charm ..Just need to get my hands on sum krytox.. ..

Heb je hier al naar gekeken.?? als you op youtube bv zoekt naar "realforce 87u silent" dan hoor je het verschil met de stille keyboard. De gene die ze heeft ontworpen heeft lang gezocht naar een oplossing om de S type van deze keyboard na te maken.. Door vele prototype heeft hij een ring ontworpen die van een normale RealForce een Silent realforce kan maken..Best Vet ..Niet goedkoop natuurlijk a 0,65 per ring..Maar een groep mensen doet mee aan deze group buy waardoor we geen doaune shit hoeven te betalen. Allen verzendkosten enzo...Als je wilt kan ik evt 90 stuks voor jou voor schieten..En betaal een maling de verzend kosten dan hoef jij dat niet te doen..En heb je zo een leuke meevaller..En ik kan er ook wat o-rings bij doen voor de caps zelf een mooie keycap puller wired niet zo'n plastic rond ding.. Kijk maar ik wil uiterlijk vrijdag avond bij hem betellen.. Laat me maar weten ik lees hier de posts. RokushoOk. Dan spreken we elkaar tegen die tijd wel. Lijkt me leuk zeker een mede levens genieter ala keyboard fanaat uit NL bodem ;-) ik denk dat wij keyboard fanaten opensource nurds altijd aardig zijn tegen elkaar hahaha moeten al dat ongein in de wereld een beetje in balans houden. Toevallig vandaag in Deurne geweest daar komt m'n vrouw vandaag. Van wat ik begrijp heb je met een topre bord een goede keus gemaakt. Meteen van top niveau. Niet vergelijkbaar met cm storm ding. Ben erg benieuwd hoe hij je bevalt ik hoop natuurlijk goed. Hoe dan ook geen zorgen die dingen verkopen onwijs goed door. In het ergste geval verlies je enkel de invoer kosten maar nooit meer dan dat. Dus zorgeloos genieten ;-) tot spreeks

Rokushohe kerel al je keyboard ontvangen? ik heb mijn FC660C Topre ontvangen en het voelt onwijs lekker aan.. Niet te vergelijken met CM Novatouch dag en nacht verschil..Ben echt benieuwd hoe de 87U jou gaat bevallen. Trouwens als je in contact wilt komen kun je mij ook bereiken op "deskthority" keyboard form onder de naam TuxKey das trouwens das ook mijn naam voor de g service je weet wel zoeken en post ;-) Ik heb een extra rode Esc key besteld dacht dat lijkt mij wel leuk voor jou om evt te ruilen voor een extra spacebar.. Het is een dikke PBT Esc toets best leuk.. groet sam
