Is there a Cherry Profile equivalent keycaps for Topre? Wondering what the 87U stock keycap profile is like. Probably same as OEM profile? It would be very nice if someone could tell me what the low height keycap profiles are called for Topre. Never had so much love for medium-high height keycaps...

baechooboiYou will never get a clear answer on an MX equivalent.
Many people will try but they are simply a different type of switch w/ a different "feel". Check on geekhack and/or search google with the following "Realforce 45g vs 55g" and you will fall down a deep, deep, deep rabit hole where many people have ventured. Typically, here's a summary of what I've read; Realforce 45g is very good but some say 55g are better. I'm gonna start w/ this 55g and try it out. People who buy only a 45g board or 55g are ALWAYS mentioning that they want to try the other. Taking a chance on a $200+ keyboard is always a risk and no amount of internet comments/opinions will ever, really truly satisfy your curiosity.
Topre & Mechanical MX switches are kind of like how Morpheus explains the Matrix to Neo: "No one can tell you what the Matrix is, you need to experience it for yourself."

Wampa101 LOL. thx for the input. I am more curious about the available after-market keycaps though. I like the low/Cherry profile on the MX stems, but not sure if there's anything similar available for Topre stems.

baechooboiWell I mean you could always buy some of the topre compatible cherry MX stems and replace the topre stems on the KB and buy some g20 keycaps.

baechooboiThe topre stems are easy to replace with mx compatible ones as you can just remove a keycap and the top of the switch easily, without having to remove the switch or anything like that; there's now a number of places offering mx compatible stems. There are replacement caps for Topre stems, however, the range is much smaller. The default keycaps are probably the best default caps you can get( for the money, they should be...), nice thick PBT.

Wampa10145 v. 55; having used both, 45 are great if you do LOTS of typing, 55 give you more oneness with cup rubber. The variable ones are basically 45s, there are so few 55&35 switches on the board as to be irrelevant, people who used them say the feel like a 45 for all intents and purposes. I don't, personally, know anyone who tried pure 35s; imagine that if you find brown and red too heavy, you'd really enjoy them. Being Topre, they should feel like properly tactile Browns or Gateron clears.

baechooboiHello,
Topre profile and Cherry profile are very close and work well together for me. Work in progress, not finished yet.
