Anyone at Drop seeing this, would love to see the Silent version offered as the cheapest price on them right now is direct from Japan through a buying service.

Hi sorry to drop off the radar so suddenly, had to go out of town. Came back and fell sick. Will create a reddit account and we can continue our discussion there. Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation. It sounds pretty cool. I was hoping that the different weights would be adjustable though

tom.loughlinThey don't have that feature, because the weight is determined by the physical springs and thickness of the rubber dome. However, some models of RealForce R2 come with a feature called APC (actuation point changer). APC allows you to change the actuation point, the point at which you register a keystroke. So you can switch between a very light stroke, medium depth, or for more full presses to register a stroke, and you can change it by individuel key using their software.

I am a huge fan of Realforce! This R2 profile is really great looking and there is nothing like a Topre thock. However keep in mind that the Realforce R2 RGB is the only one that is mx compatible which means you can have fun switching out the beautiful keycap sets that are out there. This one offered is not the RGB. So you will be stuck with fewer keycap options. I silenced mine with Silencers from Keyclack and my RFs are just heaven to type on.
