How is this different from the Pro Series B-stock that is on the Traveler guitar website for $240?
inverba
I hope there isn't a difference, because I just bought one from there. Thanks for the heads up.
Will this drop be available in Europe?
The last Traveler Guitar that I ordered here was impounded by German customs because of nature protection law. The usage of the "rosewood" which the customs declared as "dalbergia spp." wood and which is nationally listed as protected wood, seemed to be the issue here. I would really want to buy this guitar. Especially since it is now the "Pro-Series" version but I do not know if it will be impounded again for the same reason. (On a side note: Big thanks for the amazing drops and the quick refund Massdrop! Eventhough I do not even know what happened to the guitar I ordered that got impounded and if Massdrop was ever able to retrieve it...)

In the specs it says: "Fingerboard: Ebonized rosewood". So does that mean it will get impounded?

I'd advise you to check that with customs, and reach out to @Traveler_Guitar so see if they have any info on that! GL
Here we go again. Another drop that doesn't care about the ten percent of the population that happens to be left handed. I refuse to believe there's no B stock available for the left handed guitars. In fact this is a theme here at massdrop. If you don't fit into the average, be it clothes, shoes or handedness, then you're to be ignored. Starting to strongly feel like prejudice.

By that standard I agree. I certainly don’t meet people who will avoid me for my handedness. :)
I would be interested in that as well Taylor. There are more lefties out there than you know. The reason people think there are not very many of us is because we are just basically forced to learn to do things right handed. From can openers to pianos we just adapt. There's a new product for you guys.. the left handed piano.. put me on the waiting list!!
Have to say i absolutely love this guitar!
How many people we need to get this drop again? I need travel guitar sooooo badly:(

Hi Krizzzy,
If you are still interested in this drop a current one is taking place at this time.
Cheers.

Very stoked to get in before this closed! I've been eyeballing these for a while so with the price drop I couldn't help it. Now I can travel with the guitar without having to worry about not being able to get on the plane.
Is it available in a left handed model (please don't say "just swap the strings around"). Cheers, Brett
brett.celebrant
looking at traveler's website this model doesn't have a left handed version at this time.
I got in on the ultra-light, and I love it. Wish I could justify getting in on this- even though I like the fact that the ultra-light is a little lighter, the metal rest does get on my nerves at times. Great buy for those in on it!
Any chance to get a drop for the bass model?
I have no musical talent, no idea how to play a guitar...but for some reason I want one of these
It says three days left for me
To be quite honest I'm not sure why they used a normal single coil pickup here, a stacked or bladed humbucker would have been the smarter choice sonically, heck even a Duncan JB Jr. or the like would've been nice.
Very very nice and a great price, too!!!
I bought one of these from amazon some time ago and i just have to say it's a superb practice guitar.
I have one of these and I've also had an ultra-light electric that sadly was left behind in the amazonian rainforest. It's so light I didn't notice when it fell off my pack.
Are these guitars so great you're going to record your next studio album on and tour with them? No.
But you're not Joe Satriani. Neither am I.
I've been playing for about 20 years. I've climbed mountains with these and put them through some nasty conditions. They're extremely well made and I've shoved them in overhead airline storage bins, lower bus storage compartments, or just keep it with me in the airline seat.
They're perfect to play. Low action that I like, intonation is dead on and having a guitar this light and easy to maneuver means you'll be playing in places or in positions you might not normally. I like to play myself to sleep in bed sometimes.
As for the company: Their support is awesome. If you have an issue or question, the luthier will get back to you quickly if front-line support doesn't. Customer service is great and every interaction I've had with them over the last few years has been nothing short of stellar.
I can't say enough about how awesome this company is or how great their guitars are. I already have one of these or I'd jump on the drop. As soon as the bass shows up here, I'm in.
I've been eyeing this from Traveler guitars for a few years now, they make a Bass model as well, which i would love to get my hands on. Everything I've heard so far in forums, various reviews on other sites, and such really haven nothing bad to say about the rig. If this had come up at a time i was able to get it I would at this price, seems like a good in my opinion, considering that even on the manufactures website this is 380.00 dollars not including S&H. http://www.travelerguitar.com/guitars/all/item/pro-series?category_id=3
I had to triple read the part about "unique stethophone headset, designed to provide a private listening experience" . Can someone elaborate how those works (and their benefit)? Or has the closed back headphone become obsolete?
Same this with portable amps, there are plenty portable ones like one below that don't take up any space and power everything short of 250Ohm+ cans...
Just curious...

Yet the company includes a travel case with generous storage compartment? What situation would the intended user find themselves in where it would not be possible to have 2xAAAs? Just trying to figure out the mechanics and target market of this item...it is definitely different.

Small resonance chamber behind the bridge with the piezo pick-up. The stethophone allows air movement to be transmitted between that chamber and your ear bones. Pretty much the same system that airlines used for decades when you paid to hear the in-flight movies. No electronics, no batteries needed. It just needs a relatively air-tight closed pathway.
Personally, I would use my Line-6 Pocket Pod with phones rather than the stethophone.
Is it just me or did this drop just pop up with 1 day of drop time?
FeebleOldMan
yeah it's not just you, I noticed the same xD

It says 7d left for me!
