airjordanThe unit you are referring to on Amazon is Used, and only in 'Good' Condition.
Here is Amazon's Scale: - New - Like New - Very Good - Good - Acceptable
So its condition is towards the lower end of the spectrum too.

airjordanVery true, it is listed as Collectible. Amazon only allows select qualified sellers to list items as 'Used'. Sellers must apply for this privilege and be approved by Amazon to do so. This is very difficult for most sellers because Amazon requires an impeccable track record from a seller in order to approve them.
But, listing an item as 'Collectible' is available to any and all sellers. No application to Amazon is needed. So this is the condition that most Amazon sellers use in place of the 'Used' condition when an item they are selling is not Brand New.
The Red units that you are referring to are from the seller 'Amazon Warehouse Deals'. These are units that have been either returned by a customer or damaged while in Amazon's warehouse. In this particular situation, they do not appear to be damaged and will come in the original box. So we are left to assume that they were returned by customers. So they will most likely be open box and could even be defective. And for customers that live in a state where Amazon has a business presence, there will be $30-$40 of tax applied to the total cost as well.
