Whether it’s screaming through slingshot curves in the dirt or gunning it off the starting line on wet concrete, the Traxxas Bandit VXL is unstoppable. That’s because this 1/10th-scale electric buggy is equipped not only with a gutsy brushless motor but also with the Traxxas Stability Management receiver. And because this ready-to-drive car is controlled by the 2.4-gigahertz Traxxas TQi transmitter—which can be synced up with your Android or Apple iOS device—all the rip-roaring action is in your hands.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have the option of purchasing the VXL Bandit or the XL-5, a more entry-level version with a brushed motor (- $130). Regardless of the model you purchase, you will not be able to choose the color of car you receive. Each color—Black, Blue, Red, and Silver—will be chosen at random as we fulfill each order.
Introduced earlier this year, Traxxas Stability Management acts as an invisible co-pilot to offer intuitive control of the Bandit VXL. You’ll hardly know it’s there as you floor it through the straightaways—and curves—and brake without fishtailing or spinning out, even on slick surfaces. And it works in tandem with the Velineon 3500 brushless motor, which can take the Bandit VXL to speeds of up to 45 miles per hour out of the box—and 70-plus miles per hour with a sold-separately pinion gear. You’ll also have three drive profiles to choose from: Sport, Race, and Training, each of which caters to varying experience levels.
The two-channel Traxxas TQi offers an advanced design that allows it to be paired with your Android or Apple iOS device through a simple app. Powered by four AA batteries, this long-range transmitter offers visual access to real-time telemetry data, customizable dashboards, steering and braking rate, and more. And it’s all programmable with just two buttons. Once you’ve downloaded the app for your phone, you’ll have access to all this, plus the ability to manage the profiles of up to 30 different Traxxas models, meaning your entire lineup of Traxxas RC cars can be controlled with one device.
