Triwa Ivory Spira Watch

Scandinavia isn’t known for its watches. But leave it to Sweden—which seems to leave its imprint on everything in the style-and-design sphere these days—to change that. Founded in the capital of Stockholm in 2007, Triwa combines a vintage minimalist aesthetic with a unique assortment of materials to produce a line of watches both timeless and distinctive. The Ivory Spira features a clean, white dial absent of numerals. The hour positions are instead denoted by applied stick markers, between which are small black minute markers.

Equipped with quartz Miyota 1L45 movement, this dress watch is made with a stainless steel case with a brushed finish. The seconds hand, found on the subdial at 6 o’clock, is royal blue in color—a subtle touch that adds a hint of surprise. The strap is made from brown vegetable-tanned leather, a nice complement to the minimalist dial. You won’t have to worry about getting the watch wet, either: It’s water resistant up to 100 meters.
