How difficult would it be to make a locking mechanism into this tiny body (such as the one shown in the pic below)? Can an O-ring be used as an add-on for securing the blade from self-deploying? But the thumb stub isn't high enough and grooves don't line-up to lock in an O-ring.

tx.bit's it's stock form, you would not be able to use an o-ring to secure the thumb stud.
