So if someone just smashes it or puts a high powered magnet on it, we're fucked?

Well regular locks are more flash with the door's surface and accordingly harder to smash. This lock sticks out too much for comfort, makes it too easy to break it off the door IMHO. 😊

As they said below. Also I was referring more to the fact that the damaged lock means you're fucked getting in yourself--not the breaking and entering part.

The video doesn't seem to mention the bluetooth function, I wonder why?

"If you’re having a party or event, switch the lock into passive mode to allow people to come in hassle free."
Back in the day we used to call this unlocking

This thing sounds like garbage. They call it a "smart lock" but it doesn't seem to integrate with any kind of home automation or anything else that is smart. There are plenty of other locks out there that function similarly and integrate with other smart things. Amazon reviews are pretty bad as well ranging from major installation issues to the app doesn't even work correctly.

Easier and simpler maybe... but that depends on the exploit... I mean, what if I can rewrite the firmware to add a god pin to get in later? What if the lock allows "firmware upgrades" over the USB port while it is booting up, allowing someone who is prepared to come up and reprogram your lock then drop by and walk in like they own the place with a UHaul truck later? Sounds a bit too risky for my tastes. I wish it didn't cost $90 or I'd get one just to mess with it.

techwizI don't think that USB port can be used for anything but power delivery, but whether or not overcurrent protection is there, it's hard to say😇

Interesting product. Curious is any has had any experience with this product in an outdoor application? The ratings on Amazon are sub-par: https://www.amazon.com/TurboLock-TL-100-Bluetooth-Real-Time-Monitoring/dp/B071FRV8ZH

ElzizoHave one on my office door. haven't used it outside it is water resistant have to look up what IP rating i think its 68. I believe its ok on an external door but wouldn't use on a door that has full on exposure to the elements.
