Hmm...not that I have any real U-Boat experience (although I did see "Das Boat" once--with English subtitles), but I'm guessing the flight deck on most of 'em is a pretty confining patch of real estate--and how you'd land a plane on a submarine is beyond my imagination, but I'm guessing it's a real challenge if the flight deck happens to be 100 feet below the surface. No doubt that takes practice.
Anyway, nice watch but the whole Big Ben on your wrist thing never did it for me.

RayFFor about $160 (free shipping) you can buy an Aragon Evo that is this diameter and a millimeter or so thicker to try out the size.
https://www.aragonwatch.com/Aragon_Divemaster_EVO_NH35A_50mm_p/a253blk.htm
The Aragon is not a bad watch in itself, really only lacking sapphire, but the bezel is concave and protects the crystal. It looks good on leather and NATO straps. You can wear big watches on a strap that is a little loose and bangly, and that look works well, I think.
Here's a veteran Massdrop member commenting on an in-store try-on of a U-Boat watch. Admittedly, this guy has big wrists and the watch is a smaller diameter U-Boat, but he said "I tried on this U Boat bronze Chrono diver. While the thing seemed massive (46mm x 18mm thick), it wore surprisingly well on the wrist. Honestly, I barely noticed it on my wrist, which I know sounds strange (of course, I do have 8" wrists)."

CloacaYou never should have shown me the other guys U-Boat! It looks much better in gold with the distressed, brown leather strap--no other watch will ever do--you've ruined my life! :- 0

RayFWell, that one was six times the price. But, yeah, it's definitely at least three or four times better.
He ended up not buying it. But the point of his post was, you think you hate something, but then you try it on.
But the way, I posted two more U-Boats in response to #RandyBrown 's posting of his mega huge Invicta Black Panther watch.

CloacaI was following Invicta pretty closely about ten years back (having purchased an inexpensive submariner inspired automatic from them), and I watched (NPI) as they started to go all in for big-watch designs. Initially I was kind of interested, but started seeing too many fashion magazine ads depicting totally over the top, mines-bigger-than-yours marketing BS aimed at the hip-hop crowd and quickly decided, I didn't want to play/didn't want to be that guy. Fast-forward a few years later and I found myself in the Vince Lombardi Travel Center in NJ, and came face to face with an Invicta kiosk stuffed full of huge, wall-clock inspired Invictas--and then I noticed everyone in the place seemed to wearing one too. I had to grab my coffee and get the hell out of there before I became one of them--it almost felt like resistance was futile!
But I did resist ;- )

RayFHow big counts as wall clock for you?
The biggest watches I have are 46 mm. And one of those is also thick at 18 mm. Then I have some 45 mm watches, with two of those in the 17-18 mm thick range. These are mostly dive watches.

CloacaHere's the deal--some watches, Invictas are a good example, designed a bunch of big watches for the sole purpose of riding the big watch gravy train--you can spot 'em a mile a way, big for no other reason than to just be big (or worse, big and rose gold). I have a Seiko Black Monster that's kinda big and a tad on the thick side, but it's that way for a reason; it's a legit dive-watch. So I'm a little loathe to put a number on wall clock watches. I'd say it's kind of like pornography; hard to define, but you know it when you see it ;- )

RayFNot sure why someone would want a watch that big. My Seahawk is 45mm and 17mm thick, even though I love it and its super rugged and capable as a tool, I still feel its too big. Unfortunately being that it's a Seahawk and not a PAM or Deepsea I have virtually no chance re-selling it.

mcamposOne day, every watch will be a sought after classic timepiece. Unfortunately, not all of will live to see that day. As I always say: timing is everything, luck is everything else.

RayFIn the mists before THE BEGINNING, Fate and Chance cast lots to decide whose the Game should be; and he that won strode through the mists to MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI and said: "Now make gods for Me, for I have won the cast and the Game is to be Mine." Who it was that won the cast, and whether it was Fate or whether Chance that went through the mists before THE BEGINNING to MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI—none knoweth.
