When you think of jeans you don’t traditionally think of recycled cafeteria trays. Oddly enough, that happens to be UBI-IND’s secret ingredient in its Modern Slim Leg line: a form-fitting cut that’s not too tight, but not too loose Read More

Looks like the Massdrop guys (TomasV and blouie) are doing a fine job responding promptly to questions. Any idea what percentage of shrinkage we can expect after the first wash? Thanks, guys.

SeikoguyThe White Oak Cone Mills fabric they're using here is sanforized so i wouldn't expect more than 1-3% shrinkage, which usually happens length-wise (you may lose 1/4" - 1/2" on the inseam on the first wash at the most).

Bravo ! A clothing manufacturer who produces real man sizes ! No offence to slim and trim guys but realistically a lot of us who might be bigger guys still appreciate fashionable clothes. Not everyone is linebacker size but .... just saying . Thank you .

Are these sanforized? How are they dyed? I love black denim but would actually prefer it has a slower, more gradual fade.

PraxisCatThey're indeed sanforized. The black ones are black warp / black weft, a truly black selvage denim. Yarn dyed.

Please welcome UBI-IND denim to Massdrop, everyone! The community spoke and we listened: Ubi and his crew make some of the best American-made denim and offers great fitting styles for sizes up to 46.
Having been in the denim industry for a few years, I definitely know how hard-pressed one can be to find good quality selvage denim around size 36 or 38, let alone anything after 40. A lot of you called it out in previous drops, so we’re really proud and excited to introduce UBI-IND to our community — truly quality selvage denim with the attention to detail that us denimheads expect, offered in fits that everyone can enjoy.
For sizing purposes — please check out the sizing charts provided on the main page. The black denim runs a bit tighter and smaller than the classic indigo. Limited quantities available per size — have at it!

TomasVBased on the sizing chart, it would seem that the indigo is the one that runs smaller, was this a typo? Are these sanforized? Thanks!

Tophu9The fabric is indeed sanforized and the sizing charts got mixed up. We're swapping them right now. The black denim is indeed a bit smaller in the waist than the indigo colorway.
