I have been using my headlamp every day for about a week now. I walk about 2 miles early in the morning while it's still dark. I've walked in rain, fog, and beautiful clear skies. Visibility is very good. The headband is comfortable to wear and the unit is light enough that it stays in place on my head without sliding around or falling down. The headband stays in place even with the hood of my rain gear up. The headlamp is hinged on the bottom and tilts down which makes it very easy to adjust to my eye level. It's easy to twist the light on and adjust the beam strength even when wearing gloves. The beam strength is adjustable and can get very bright. The beam is wide enough that it covers both the shoulder and the width of the 2-lane road I walk on. Cars see me coming a long way off. I do like the adjustable brightness of the lamp but don't see the point of the red light. Perhaps in close quarters the red light might be okay but for open road walking, it's pointless. As others have said, the battery cover is very tight. I had trouble getting the battery back in but was finally able to slip it back into the cover. The trick for me was to insert the hinged side at an angle first then slide the battery pack the rest of the way in. All in all, I like this lamp. The price seems fair for the quality and value of this headlamp. Would buy again.
