Rishm50x can be run well out of absolutely any source. You aren't going to gain much if at all any sound quality. m50x also scales horribly.
Not a bad first can though, but far from the best. They'll do their job for gaming, but for music you are missing out (m50x have zero soundstage). Grab some sony cans in the same price range if you want a closed can that will be 3x as good. or just join the open-air master race headphones ;-) and enjoy
Also if you're looking for a good dac/amp and are considering this, just spend 30 more dollars on the CENTRANCE dacport. You won't regret it as it's way better and not much more.
UzuzuHello,
forgive me for interjecting, but even though I have a pair of M50xs, im looking to get a better pair of headphones for music and games, specifically for my gaming pc at home and music listening when relaxing. I plan on using the M50x at the office with my smartphone as a source.
Im looking to get the AKG K7xx in the next drop, and I read they need an amp/dac. For a beginner, and looking only to run the K7xx , would you say this is a good option for a dac/amp?
As I said before, my highest end headset ever is the M50.
thanks
MooseGooseI'm in the same boat (Looking for high quality headphones for gaming) I am going for the AKG K612. Much cheaper and good (enough) performance.
UzuzuI live in Australia so all these products are very expensive, the Udac3 is 200-300 AUD and 112 AUD on massdrop. Plus I will be using it on a desk so it suits my setup.
Jyrigoing off specs. Also nuforce has horrible customer service and completely chinese company. I have no need of entry level gear anymore, but when I did my original setup was odac into e09k. I still greatly recommend the odac, but there are better amps than the money than my old e09k now.
UzuzuSorry to hear if you have an impression of the poor customer service. But to correct one point - NuForce is not a Chinese company and has never been (although I am not even sure why it would be negative).
