Just curious...can I request to have seems sealed or is that crazytalk? 🙃 Just ordered my 11' wide body with 4 pull outs. 😆

First thank you for joining the drop, it's a GREAT price on a GREAT tarp. Due to the high number of tarps we do not have the dedicated spaced needed to offer seam sealing on these drops. We do have a video on our website showing how to seam seal your new tarp and as mentioned it is super easy DIY project.

UGQPaul
Thanks for the response UGQPaul. Looking forward to my new UGQ Hex Tarp to go along with my UGQ Zeppelin UQ. Keep making great products!
If I hadn't just purchased another tarp I'd be all over this. Great price, great gear.
Is it possible to add the 12 ft Wide with pull outs to the drop?
CHSGirl
The hanger 12 is 116 inches wide whIch is the same width as the 11' wide body.
CHSGirl
12' wide? or 12' Long? 12' wide is not possible for this drop due to fabric width limitation. While a 12' wide tarp could in theory be made it would require additional labor and materials resulting in a CUSTOM tarp. 12' long is the Hanger 12 which is as mentioned ~116" wide which is max width using current fabrics.
Please drop the Winter Dream with panel pulls; I need a tarp with doors.
We've received a few requests for Moroccan Blue as an additional color option. I'm happy to say it is now available this drop.
Could you post a picture showing a tarp with the four panel pulls?
Would be nice if it had an end flap, especially for the price.
Level
Their (regular) pricing is pretty good compared to their competition. This is a light weigh tarp with less stretch than the sil-nylon ones (no sagging when it's wet). Generally the end flaps are considered 'winter tarps'
Hamguy
Gotcha.
Any chance if we buy the panel pull option they will space them for a bridge hammock (Ridgerunner) as opposed to a gathered end?
Edreed20
They offer this service when ordering direct IIRC, not sure about via mass drop. I would email support rather when wait on a reply from the comment mods.
As a bridge hammock user I'd like a 13 foot option (I've been drooling over UGQ's Winter Dream)
Wish there was a winter tarp option.

Awesome, I don't know if I can wait until the next Black Friday Sale to pick up a Winter Dream. Just got the top quilt in this week and will put it to the test this weekend. I am extremely pleased with your products thus far. Any chance an underquilt might show up on here? I need a good 0/10 degree to replace the my current sub freezing system. Thanks!

Can I add the pull out panel option to my 11' WB order or is it too late? This wasn't an option when I put in my initial order. How do I do this? Why doesn't Massdrop have any customer service?
TXyakr
There is a help Center link posted above that may help. I might ask about this also
I'm a little bit new to tarps. What's the difference between hanger 12 hex with 4 pulls and the Winter Dream 12?

The pull out loops allow you to make the inside a little bit larger so your back is less likely to get condensation on it when it is humid especially at night. There are several vendors that make add on doors for about $45 each or for a pair, these side panel pull out loops make it easier to attach end doors. Doors are obviously useful if you want/need more privacy or excpect driving rain/sleet but they block your view, wind flow in hot summer and add more weigh, require more tie out guy lines and more set up time and for me are not necessarily on most of my camping trips.
Ikaros
Thanks for the thorough explanation. I live on the north west coast, so driving rain is a common occurrence. I'll do a bit more research before I join a similar drop
UGQ Outdoor Equipment's been really great about keeping an eye on discussions, and provided two new options for this drop - the 11 WB hex and 12 hex with four panel pulls! @RMC0109 @westcoast
ChristineLim
Ok. Now I'm tempted...
Might have been interested if panel pulls where included. I find tarps are useless in high winds without them.
RMC0109
Agreed , I love that we have non-Camo options this time but if I am not mistaken previous drop was Winter Dream tarps with panel pullouts which is a huge selling point for anyone on the Wet Coast who deals with way too many days of sideways rain!
I know UGQ has a great reputation though so if it meets your needs I wouldn't hesitate to buy but for me unfortunately I am 0 for 2 on UGQ drops :(

Are the tie-outs just a grogain loop, or a D-ring,etc.
Can we get a non-camo option added to the drop; I'm not interested in paying the premium for the fabric.
RMC0109
For me its not really the cost thing but the tone it sets. I know some would disagree but I find in the areas I tend to frequent Camo sends the wrong message about being friendly/approachable.
Too each his own and I know people can argue it to death but I hike out of Vancouver and there are a lot of hipsters hiking out here who would think I joined some paramilitary group if they saw camo! To be fair though these same hipsters tend to need helicopter rides off the mountains way too frequently so maybe they are the paramilitary! (Search and Rescue joke before you think Vancouver has an active paramilitary community! )
Coyote Brown or Olive Green or even Black are still pretty inconspicuous if doing moderate "stealth" camping and black I love just because it dries the tarp out the next day of any residual water nice and quick!
That being said too each his own and I won't judge as I think that Woodland does look cool and if I did more stealth and hiked more frequently in areas not frequented by hipsters I might be down to try it but for now simple colours are best!
RMC0109
Not on this drop, to make these prices work we purchase the fabrics for the drops in bulk resulting in much lower material cost. We did just receive a 1000yds of 4 solid color so you can be pretty sure we will be running another drop soon.
Great company with a great reputation however Camo is just not for me and would have preferred a coyote brown or black option!
westcoast
Another great company, great tarp (I use this model) but available in brown: https://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/product/superfly/

Stay tuned..... ;)
Wow, this is quite a discount! I have been comparing tarps for a few weeks, and this is a great price and a great tarp to prepare for winter. I had to buy one! Thanks MassDrop!!
Christine please revise width for Hanger11WB to 116", not sure were the 96" came from.
UGQPaul
@G_Man @UGQPaul Thanks for the catch! Specs are now adjusted.
Are the dimensions correct for the hanger 11WB?? That tarp is 116" wide according to UGQ, not 96"
G_Man
That is correct, the Hanger 11 is 92" wide, the Hanger11WB (wide body) is ~116". The Hanger 11 is not a part of this drop.
Should the base price MSRP be $139.95 instead of $169.95? It is misleading to compare the Massdrop price of $127.46 to $169.95, which is actually the MSRP for the Winter Dream 11.

Thanks for the clarification Danny

No problem. I'm glad you asked because I'm sure others had the same question. Like most small UL companies, UGQ's website has room for improvement to help make options and costs clearer. On you plus side, you know your money is going to an excellent product and the people that make it, and not some flashy website or marketing team.
