The new 35 adds a hip belt whereas the 30 doesn't have one. I'd suspect the volume on the 20 and the new 25 would be the same. Not sure about the volume of the 30 vs the 35
i bought the 20 on the previous drop and quite like it. Runnable with 10-12lbs. More than that and the movement is noticeable. It is a really big 20L. I'd say 25. The pack fits my Tarp, down bag, bug bivy, Helium rain Coat monbell ex Lite down. Base top and bottom, neo air xlite large and has room for 5lbs of food.
So if you have a 7lb or so base weight kit it is perfect for weekend trips. I can also fit my BV500 in it.
I don't have experience with the 30 but for me unless you have bulky light gear I don't see the usage case as muh over 15lbs TPW I want some kind of frame.
