Massdrop said they rarely ever change things after a drop ends but to watch the page for an announcement if they decide to modify the offerings in this drop (never happened).

Don't take it personally but I wouldnt even call it a deal. The promise was to ship it out after receiving it form ue by 7 days. I understand customs have delays but that isn't my only issue with it the fact is it was called the flagship and th exact we weren't told of the ue 18 plus doesnt seem right.

I purchased Ultimate Ears 18 CIEMS from you two weeks ago, under the impression they were under a discount. Unfortunately, upon receipt of them I learned that they were a discontinued product and were being sold retail for 200 less than I paid Massdrop, and they were replaced with a new product and will no longer be produced anymore. I have called ultimate ears and they told me to contact you. I will pay full retail at the discounted release price for the new version for the new version of the CIEM, but I will not accept this product that was sold under a false pretense.
If the matter is not rectified immediately, I will take my matter to your forums, to head-fi, and to the FTC for false advertising and fraudulent inducement. The product was discontinued 1 day after I received it and replaced with a new product on sale for 200 USD more than I paid for the obsolete product. I’m furious, as I feel as I have been defrauded and cheated, the point of group buying is to get discounted goods at good deals, not closeout items at above retail price. You clearly knew this was a product at the end of its lifecycle being replaced and you went forward with the drop anyway.
This was wrong, and you took good hard earned money form many people that can’t afford to waste it ( fortunately I’m not one of them ), but the whole drop was wrong on the part of both massdrop and Ultimate Ears, and reflects poorly on both brands. What I want and will make me a happy Massdrop and Ultimate Ear customer is to pay the full introductory price for the new CIEM and to return the old model in exchange for the new model. I will not post about this or discuss it anywhere. I really think you should offer this to everyone, but I will not mention it anywhere if you accommodate me.
If you don’t I will attempt to get all the other drop participants to follow me and pay for a legal action against both companies and I believe we will achieve the same results, juts on a larger scale w/ you paying the legal fees. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s time to man up and say maybe this was wrong. We really pissed some customers off. And the few (like me, or if its only me) that are angry, make the problem right. For Ultimate Ears you have a brand that you built that you want to keep pristine for life, for Massdrop, you also don’t want customers to feel cheated. Please come up with a resolution for me, ill pay any reasonable difference. Let’s just compromise so all sides are at piece with the transaction.

Just received my IEM today. (Hong Kong, 16 Dec, and received the info of UE18+ pro on the same day, tho). Perfectly fit my ear and sounds great ! Thanks UE & Massdrop for the drop.
P.s. I received Massdrop email (no content, titled "Massdrop is shipping you a package." Few days ago and I found the tracking number on my Massdrop transaction page.
Bad timing for us to get the UE18 Pro. UE just release an updated version of UE18 Pro with there true tone driver which was only available on UE Pro Remaster.

I like their new personal reference monitor (UE-PRM) custom tuned to your hearing profile. If you have a hearing loss in a certain frequency they can tune the drivers to compensate. Unless you have perfect hearing, the UE-PRMs would probably sound the best in their new line up.

Luckily I got the email update from Massdrop since I sent the email to complain. They used UPS for the shipment but the tacking number doesn't work yet.

Now this is very interesting! My product showed up at my PO Box today but I did not receive a tracking number from anyone.
I unboxed the product, plug it in to my Xduoo, and I'll be damned if there is no sound coming from the left IEM.
If you put a little pressure on the end of the connection you do hear a little bit of sound but if you remove the pressure there is no sound.
After disconnecting the cable and reinserting it still absolutely no sound from the left module...
EDIT: So I used some common sense and switched the cables around. Now the left module works, but the right one doesn't...soooo...it looks like a bad cable.

Yikes.
I can't speak for international customers, but US customers can always sign up for My UPS and will receive notices from UPS when packages are going to be delivered. I personally did not get a notice from MD or UE but did receive a notice from UPS that my package is on the way from UE.

FWIW, UPS My Choice (the service that provides the alerts about incoming shipments) is only available for US residential addresses.
Using Asendia is no difference from being scams...

Yup luckily I got my info a few days ago. Lol the customer supp are like hello games they ignore us at first and then solve it slowly behind the scenes.
Checked the help center. It seems like Massdrop uses Asendia for international shipping... omfg... Use Asendia to send $1,000 IEMs???

For the standard services there is no tracking. Even tracked parcels would get lost. Imao, 99% of their parcels are damaged or delayed.
How many international customers are there? Did you guys all receive your IEMs?
