Which headphones of Drop's currently available?
I have some rewards points to burn but there's no obviously good options on Drop right now for headphones Contenders Ultrasone - maybe? I don't own any Ultrasones, so curious. Looks like garbage travel headphone which could be useful also. Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. - Maybe? I have the DT 880 Good price point, really uncomfortable headphones but could be interesting to try the upgraded version. E-MU - strong contender but $400 is a bad price point for what it is. Which of the above would you choose and why? Nothing else on Drop is relevant to my interests, because Already own 6xx 820 800 s Ether cx Garbage / Consumer grade Meze 99 - garbage bass canons, hard pass No gaming headphones obviously Sennheiser wireless - no to wireless/bluetooth Hifiman - I have 2 of drop hifimans and they make really bad cheap shit on Drop, hard pass on HE-R7DX Aeon - I own the closed, Drop refuses to address #padgate so no reason to buy open Beyerdynamic 177x - wireless, nope Too similar 8x / 560s...

Honestly I think it was kind of shitty of them to hold canjam over the Chinese New Year.... Very inconvenient for the Asian companies.
Audeze and ZMF had some amazing stuff as well. I also spent some time at Westone...but I wasn't impressed.
Now onto the whole Chinese New Year thing...Dude, that wasn't a problem for ANY of the Chinese manufacturers...they simply had reps from the United States or their dealerships show up and man their booths. The Canjam was also over at 7 Saturday and 5pm Sunday so we were all able to see our families in Chinatown.
As for the it01 that's how I feel about the tfz king pro, they're astonishing. I'll have to order them, can get them prime from Amazon already...
Tried to get myself to hold off for the 04 but in the end, well, I have a problem.
I'm trying to keep this obsession at least borderline healthy... It's a losing battle.
I'm not an enabler...I'm an addict just like you lol.
Still need to replace my 10 year old HT receiver and 20 year old paradigm and jmlabs home speakers for something modern to see how that's progressed.... IEMs are crazy now, my ancient first gen etymotic er4p ($400 I think) sound like shit compared to any of my newer IEMs starting at 60 bucks.
Yes, IEM's have blown up. It's funny for me, as I've been into IEM's for a decade and a half...but to see some young "kids" (millennial's) trying to school us more experienced fans is amusing. I tried everything from the $20 Chi-fi cheapo's...to the $3600 64 Audio Tia Forte's...
