Decisions, decisions. 😅
I already have U8s (love them, deep bass), I also purchased Custom Art Ei.XX (very sexy, great bass) and x Noble Kaiser 10 universals are comin soon (still waiting) but ...
I've always wanted to try UEs. I've read some many reviews about how great they sound but never actually heard one.
Some of these iems will be going to Ebay after I find out which one sounds the best. (Most Bass)
*Although, that Custom Art iem is too beautiful to part with. A work of art indeed.
But $1200? 🤔

OneLoveIf you really want a basshead's IEM, I would check out the Campfire Vega. I was gobsmacked at how good this thing sounds for a single DD. It's visceral as hell and but still detailed at the same time. Only major gripe is its smallish soundstage. If you love bass, I could not think of a better option.

jaydunndidditSucker for good dynamic driver and natural sound, bass and mids without being sibilant, something that the BAs cannot do, at least to my ears. Very few BAs in my audio gear, just can't find an IEM with BAs that does natural sound, and warm lush bass the way DDs do. Want to try the noble dulce bass though. I do still have the JH audio Triple Fi reboot they did for Japan only (triple BA in blue shells reminiscent of the classic UE triple fis) but trying to sell them since I really do prefer dynamic drivers all the way.
I want the Vega but just wish the price wasn't so high! Guess it's time to sell some gear I haven't used in while, maybe I'll get halfway there.

mayorblurpsSounds like you need the Periodic Be! My go-to recommendation for high quality dynamic driver sound.

MeringoMy current go-to dynamics are the JVC woodie 850s and the Sony XB90EX. Certainly wish both were as comfortable to wear as my oroveti primacy basic, which is a heck of a good value.
I checked out the periodic IEMs, time to take another look. Thanks!

mayorblurpsThat's what I've been doing. Selling off some of my lower tier gear for the better stuff. If it makes you feel any better, the Vega is down to $1,100 now same as the Andromeda.

jaydunndidditYes, I like bass, but sound stage and SQ are also important. $1100 for single driver iem? :)

OneLoveYeah, the pricing is pretty crazy but it is "one-of-a-kind" in its driver type and housing make it unique. Either way, it's SQ is very very good, and while its soundstage has good depth, it isn't very tall or wide. I think of it like this, the Andro is large and diffused while the Vega is a bit more small and compressed but highly focused. I prefer the latter myself as there are enough monitors that have a big soundstage but few can create such a 3D sound in a smaller space i.e. like the Utopia.
Should also add the Vega scales well and absolutely loves power. One of the few IEMs I've thoroughly enjoyed that shines on a desktop amp. Haven't had a chance to use them balanced though.

OneLovehmm, you could try to find a demo of the new Empire Ears X lineups. They’re hybrids...
As for these IEMs — they’re good at what they do, which is being fairly reference and resolving. Tiny sound stage like being in a soundproof recording room with a quick vocal decay that makes it too dry for my tastes... that’s just me though. I’m really a sucker for lush full bodied mids you see.

OneLoveAs I said, if you like bass, 18+ is probably not the way to go. These are not weak, or tinny by any scratch, but it probably won't be satisfying if you're looking for bass.

OneLoveTotally worth it m8, IMO it sounds almost as close as a Focal Utopia
So, think of it as this, you're getting miniaturized Focal Utopia at a fraction of MSRP!
