Thanks for participating in the Ultimate Ears Reference Monitors drop. The ear impression molds we've received so far have all been great, thanks to everyone for following instructions and ensuring your finished CIEMs get back to you as quickly as possible.
For those of you that has not yet send in the ear impression molds, here's a step of step list of what you need to do to get your custom IEM made:
1. See an audiologist to have your ear impressions created, or create impressions via a DIY kit yourself. If possible, use a certified UE audiologist from the link provided here: https://pro.ultimateears.com/get-your-impressions
Getting help from a professional audiologist is the most preferred method, as the definition of impressions from DIY kits are often insufficient for what Ultimate Ears requires. Please present the audiologist with the following PDF file:https://pro.ultimateears.com/media/misc/audiologist-instructions.pdf
2. To confirm that the impressions are made correctly, prior to shipping them to Massdrop you MUST take a picture of the ear impressions and send to Daniel.Liu@massdrop.com. This will ensure optimal turnaround time for your Reference Monitors as incorrectly made impressions that are received will be rejected.
3. Once the impressions are confirmed by Daniel, you can ship the impressions to:

4. We will be sending the impressions to Ultimate Ears in batches:
The first batch will be sent on 12/16/2014
The second batch will be sent on 1/5/2014 (Updated due to Holiday constraints)
The final batch will be sent on 1/13/2014
The 16th of December is the first wave cutoff for Massdrop to receive your ear impressions. Once we reach the cutoff date for a batch, we will ship all of the impressions to Ultimate Ears for production. With an impressive turnaround time of less than a week, once we receive the units back from UE we’ll ship with tracking information to all members that participated.
Please note that if impressions have not been received by the final batch shipping date of January 13th, your order will be canceled and your money refunded.
