A collaboration between Ultimate Ears and Capitol Studios, the Reference Remastered CIEMs are the perfect complement to high-resolution files and players, and they're available here with a Massdrop-exclusive zebrawood finish. Your pair will be molded exactly to your ear shape, offering the kind of noise isolation and accurate presentation you can’t get from universal IEMs. This model has been remastered based on the sounds of Capitol Studios’ state-of-the-art facility and features UE’s proprietary True Tone drivers. The three balanced armatures with multiple passive crossover points and triple bore sound channels extend the frequency range and deliver a flat response to 18 kHz. Plus, these CIEMs provide -26 decibels of noise isolation, so you can hear all the detail with a jet-black background.
Ordering: Custom in-ear monitors are like custom suits. They need to be tailored to your body. So as part of the ordering process, you'll need to visit an audiologist for ear impressions. Then, you’ll need to mail those impressions to the Ultimate Ears lab. Your impressions must be received by August 29, 2017, or the offer will be null and void. If you've previously bought a set of Ultimate Ears through Massdrop and if you have your digital impressions already stored on file with Ultimate Ears, you will not need new impressions. Simply email Massdrop and let us know that your impressions are already on file with UE. After the drop ends, Massdrop will email each purchaser the shipment address and a unique order ID number, which must be included with the impressions you send. This is a “Bring Your Own Impressions” party, which means you can’t go to one of Ultimate Ears’ other dealers and expect them to make impressions or digital scans for you.
Shipping: Orders are first come, first served, and the faster the impressions are sent, the faster you can expect to receive your IEMs. Ultimate Ears will provide free overnight shipping on all domestic orders. All international shipping will be done through Massdrop. Once impressions are received at the lab, your IEMs will be completed and shipped within 7 business days.
