Received these last week. I'm honestly quite disappointed with them. The design and style are great, as is the fit and finish, but they truly sound terrible. Very little bass, and absolutely zero sub-bass. I've tried numerous sources and get the same results.
QlineI‘ve had mine for about a month now and don’t seem to have that problem. I run mine through a Topping NX5, though, so I’ve got plenty of power and headroom. The lack of bass (and sub bass) was a problem with the earlier non S model but I feel like they fixed it with these. Sorry for your luck.
QlineI'm not sure you're getting the right fit. I'm finding these sound incredible, with loads of bass. Extremely warm and full too. Mainly techno and dnb but you need to get a really good seal to do them justice
QlineThese sit much shallower than other IEMs I have used. Shallower than Westone. As a result, for me, they are much more finicky about fit. I ended up using different sizes in each ear. While I previously preferred foamies for superior isolation (airplanes, etc), I have found that silicone tips seal better with these guys.
Once I got the tips sorted out, the seal is reliable... bass is superb, and isolation is OK.
QlineI had the same impression. I was using the foam tips. I set them aside for several months. Then I tried again with silicone tips it was like a completely different unit. I now find that these are likely my favorite with great deep bass, transparent, and very clear treble without being fatiguing. Amazing what a good seal will do.
