The pictures show it hanging from string around the trees - that's not cool! but I see the text later mentions that, and at least the package includes straps which would protect the tree from damage. I'm curious about the fabric they are using for the hammock. Anyone who frequents Hammock Forums will want more details than this drop or their website provides.

slbearare you kidding me? Damage the tree? I've seen trees hit by lightning and split in have that still live for many many years. Hurt the tree, hahaha. A tree would probably sustain the same amount of damage from you hugging it.

OkieneckMost people are not aware that the most important part of the trunk of a tree is right under the bark. That's where the nutrition and the moisture travel up to the branches and leaves. compare to hang 150 lb - 350 lb to the tree, try 15 lb with your arm (assuming you have tough skin) the tension constrict your circulation is very different when you use flat belt vs. round fish line. Just saying.
