just got these in, the box they come in is pretty awesome... and the dice themselves are very nice (though now that i have it i feel like the highlight of the buy is the box haha) i feel like the whole thing could have been put through a wash cycle though, it still has smudging from what i assume is the etching process around a lot of the pips... it comes right off with a wipe down, but i would think they would be cleaned before they are packaged up? just odd things.... i love the milling marks in the box though, makes it feel a lot more industrial

As a buyer of the Amber rix dice, Machined dice are really awesome. The pips on these dice look pretty ugly though, I much prefer the "well" style pips seen on the pre-UP gravity dice.
Why gamble when you can cut out the middleman and immediately throw your money away?
Judging by the crap painting job on these I'll just call em Ultra Poop GD. What shite.
You know it's BS when it says HAND machined for ultimate PRECESSION.
At first I thought these where the Gravity Dice that was on Kickstarter last year. So balanced (So they say) that they can be balanced on edge. For some reason i didn't register Ultra Pro at the start of that. Still, being laser etched instead of tooled out should keep the balance more or less true. Price would have to come down to about $20 to justify the amount spent for the many sets I would have to buy if I was going to have enough for most of my non board game d6 games. There is just enough here for yahtzee though. So that's not bad.
i have actually seen these used before... the roller accidentally caused the die to stop rolling on it's edge (since the edges are chamferred)
Wow, these look very nice, however I only need 2 of these :( (dice)
they make these in 2 packs (you can find em on amazon) for $24
massdrop, the only company able to sell idiots $50 of dices with a shipping of $10 in canada!

*PS Great photoshop skillz m8!
D6's what?
D=Die. #= number of sides. With polyhedral (Complex geometric shapes) dice being used more and more over the last 30+ years it's become easier usage to call a die, or pair of dice, by the number of sides rather then it's shape. Shapes such as Pyramid (d4), Cube (classic board gamed d6), Octahedron (two pyramids connected by the bases, d8) all the way up to the Icosahedron (d20 used in games such as D&D) would make a game confusing very fast. Not counting the dice that are used exclusivly by a game, and tend to just be named after the game such as Fudge/Fate which uses 6 sided dies with + and - , no numbers.
D6 stands for Die 6 sides, D8 has 8 sides, D20 etc
I want this but it's like, WHO THE HECK PAYS $43 for DICE!?!!?! I WILL!!!
I doubt someone would want to buy 4-6 sets of these to play Shadowrun with...
The only thing you'd be rolling with these is edge.
I wish Ultra Pro made a set of polyhedral gravity dice!
