Product Description
With space for 100 standard sleeved cards and a bottom compartment for dice and other accessories, the Ultra Pro Satin Tower Deck Box has room for all of your gaming essentials. This drop comes with three deck boxes in the color of your choice, including the brand-new high-gloss versions, which have a shiny satin finish to complement your cards Read More
The deck boxes, once closed, have a lip on the inside that the cards bend around. My cards wound up slightly bent after having them in there for a week.
Pros: Best box for DoubleSleeved-100 I've used to date.
Cons: As other's have noted - variation on fit and feel on the closure is problematic for some.
Edit-Followup - Apparently I did not receive Metallic Silver and was mistakenly shipped a different product. Which is extremely annoying, but is not in any way Massdrop's fault. Hopefully the mix-ups are a rare problem.
Complaints - The Metallic Silver I received was >nothing< like what was shown in the product images. Firstly, the color is much closer to gunmetal than anything I would call silver; and secondly, it's a gloss finish not matte - which is not what the product description stated. I got these for my daughter and she loves them!
The colors were even better in person, and the tops and bottoms are nicely secure.
She put felt in the bottom to keep the dice from being so loud and she says they're fantastic.
Bought 4. Only 1 top fit the core properly. Was able to swap two of the other tops to fit OK instead of way too tight (shouldn't have to do this). 1's top is too tight and doesn't fit any of the cores, so can't remedy (so tight that the bottom compartment just falls off when trying to pry it off!). 1/4 being usable is not a good rate.
While many people complain about the difficulty of removing the top, this should be assurance that this deck box will not accidentally come open. I have been a fan of these since my first one, in 2013. I still use that one, although not with a regularly played deck. The top has finally given me concern, about opening too easily, after 5 years of use. I highly recommend the Ultra Pro Satin Tower. They are sturdy, serve their purpose and protect better than any other deck box I've seen or owned.
