I had one of these keyboards (with the USB connection) and I was not happy with it for gaming. It wouldn't register more than two keys at a time with certain key combinations. Eventually one of the keys stopped working for no apparent reason and it was too costly to have it repaired ($30 repair fee plus shipping both ways made it cost about as much as buying a new one).
The keys on this thing are great for typing, but I would recommend buying the PS2 version if you want to use it for gaming or anything else where you need to use multiple keys at once.
I_Need_Moneyyou are correct, PS/2 doesn't. I have one with blank keys. I have also had keys die, but it was due to repeated drink spills. They are tough reliable keyboards, but if liquid gets into the switch mechanis, which is hard to do, they do die. Also, you don't pay shipping both ways, just to them. It's a good company of people in Lexington KY.
cadamwilI didn't spill anything on the keyboard, one of the keys just stopped functioning for no apparent reason. That of course doesn't mean that the keyboards are bad, I may have just been unlucky with my unit.
When I contacted them about repairing the keyboard, they said this: " Yes, you are responsible to ship the keyboard to us and the shipping back to you. You will pay for the return shipping when you purchase the Class 1 ($30 + shipping) Repair. "
I_Need_MoneyGet yourself a Filco Keyboard then try the typing speed via it's own PS/2 connection, it's indeed very fast particularly if your average typing speed is around 160wpm.
