R4N4W4Ythe matias linear switch would be closest, but has force more like the brown rather than the clear.
this alps-design has a different kind of stem and a much crisper feel for the tactile bump, than cherries, and is generally considered to have a smoother stem (though of course cherries can be lubricated). people who prefer alps (which are largely seen on vintage boards) describe mx sliders as feeling "rubby" or "rough".
also, input.club actually used kaihua mx clones instead of real cherries because kaihua (apparently) have higher manufacturing tolerances and a much smoother downstem feel.
(i have an older matias board with real white alps on, though have had to replace some of the switches that broke with the updated matias clones. they basically feel identical, though older alps had a problem where the springs would resonate and "sing", which the matias switches have reduced a lot. not completely, but a lot.)
